Why the rush, seems much easier to wait until you are living together and then apply.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Ok so im still months old in the US so if we live together maybe a year before applying for citizenship? Will that work?

I think it would be super helpful if you could make it at least look like you are spending as much time and effort on your marriage as you are on seeking ways to skirt the rules and game the system.

The impression you are leaving here is not favorable.  I suspect your case as stated  would flag the interest of a dim bulb IO and would flash red to a sharp one.

Finish your schooling, set up a home together, play house for a couple of years, file.  What’s the emergency anyway.

We’ve been married 13 years, Nita could file for citizenship now today if she wished, but we are waiting for 3 full uninterrupted years of physical presence before she does, so we can eliminate a long trip flag.

You make this sound like a green card marriage, dude.....

Oh you have no idea. Please dont make accusations if you dont know me. I want to be with her 24/7 but not everything goes the way we plan.
I am talking about the worst case scenario (never being able to live together in the coming 3 years) but if everything goes as planned we will be able to live together in the last year of the 3 years requirment.

I would like to thank everyone for your help. But i am surprised that some of you are accusing me of fraud? Why on earth would i be married for almost 3 years for just a green card. This accusation would hurt anyones feelings so please don’t say it if you have no idea who am i.

Thank you again

What's the rush though? You have a 10 year green card. Wait until you have actually lived like a married couple for several years and then apply for naturalization.

Sounds like a great plan!!.. I am not in a rush at all, i just wanted to know my options.

Frankly my original question was whether uscis can take my GC away from me bcz we dont live together but since naturalization issue was mentioned i just wanted to know that too 😅

Oh, gotcha. No, that greencard will not be taken away. Even if you'd divorce you would not lose your greencard.

Maybe consider filing for naturalization under the 5 year rule (5 years of permanent residence) instead of 3 years of marriage to a USC, because your marriage might be scrutinized.
