Woo hoo! We have a case number! We were approved April 1, and I called the NVC almost daily for the first couple weeks. I work in 9-1-1 healthcare here in the States so I've been a little busy/overwhelmed/stressed with work these days and haven't been keeping up with calling for well over a week now. But finally today I was able to call and wait on hold for an hour and to my great relief the wonderful woman at the NVC had a case and invoice number for me!! She told me that they WILL be shipping our packet and WILL be sending our case to the Embassy in Santiago, Chile, but that the Embassy is not doing interviews at the moment. I asked if she knows if they are on schedule for their "ship out" dates and she wan't able to give me a for sure date/answer. But they are still sending cases out to embassies which is such a relief to hear. I need to go back to the PDF from this thread and follow the instructions now that I have our number. But just wanted to post for everyone who is still waiting because we all need hope and answers from all the day to day craziness we're tackling lately 🙂🙃

We called and they apparently didn't receive it yet :(

The P3 letter https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xZ48sV6R4Pzc3XjpqTFB2Q9P7BDog1b_/view?usp=sharing

The DS-5540 is not being asked for at the interview per another subscriber.

From the Serbia Embassy's website: Interviews are by appointment only! You will receive an appointment when you have submitted your notice of readiness confirming that you have all the required paperwork in your possession. Embassy Belgrade will notify you of your interview date and time and paying the MRV application fee by an appointment letter.

Hello everyone! Me and my fiancé received our NOA2 on April 9th and I gave the NVC a call today to check on our status. The guy said they received the petition last Monday April 27th and that we could expect to receive our case number later this week. He also informed me that they would not send our case until the embassy reopened.

I guess for the time being if anyone has any information on the P3 for the embassy in Tirana, Albania or anything we can work on to prepare for in the time being please let me know.

I wish you all the best of luck and hopefully embassies will resume visa appointments soon!

I suggest reading the PDF as there is more that you can do. There is a tidbit in their about getting your P3 prior to the embassy sending it to you. I wonder how that is possible.

Use the NVC call number and keep checking to see if your case is there and a case number has been assigned. Once we get that we can get this bad boy moving.

Do you have the USCIS helpline for military?

USCIS has established a toll-free military help line exclusively for members of the military and their families. USCIS customer service specialists are available to answer calls Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. (CST), excluding federal holidays. After-hours callers receive an email address that they can use to contact USCIS for assistance.

Hi Greenbaum I receive NOA2 04/14/2020 arrive NVC 04/27/2020 and today 05/04/2020  my NVC number and receipt how can I get things moving .

also the person at NVC said he wasn't sure if my file was gonna be sent as some embassies are not taking new files but he told me that they can change my consulate so the interview is here in panama. but right now panama is in lock down so we probably gonna try to get to costa rica as they are not in lock down and flights are going out on weekly humanitarian flights  to houston and more flights as of may 18 for other airlines leaving costa rica.

Is it me or do you all find it amazing that there are two tools to use to learn about this process and most here don't use those two tools to get out of this the most information? The two I am talking about is the PDF and the post that others have entered in this thread. Someone ask a question or has a request and all around them it's being answered but they still ask the question.

Ppl, you must do some of the heavy lifting if you are going to get through this. Ok. I'm done complaining. Carry on.

I don't want to burst your bubble of enthusiasm, but it will take you longer to get your file sent to the Costa Rica embassy then if you were to stay put. The other thing that you didn't research is that you must be a resident of Costa Rica before you can interview there. Is the beneficiary a resident? If not than you are stuck interviewing in their home country.  Your request for transfer must be approved by the embassy.
