So would this ban affect those who are yet to file and those who already filed as well?

Yes if the visa isn't physically issued by Feb 22 then the only option is to be recommended for a waiver

Lol MAAAAN!!!! I PRAY NOT!!! Its going to be a close fit. We need a perfect interview with no delays or AP for this to work. But we believe in a powerful almighty God and we are standing firm in His word! No matter how we feel or how the situation looks. We are standing on Gods promises to take care of us and work it for His good. No matter what. He is our God

Anyways there is hope, Nigerian Government has created a committee to address the security and information sharing requested by Trump, hopeful he will have a change of minds and let lovers live where they choose.

Currently the Travel Ban countries have two options to get a visa approved (1) use a non-designated country passport (2) request a waiver after the interview. Option 1 is the best and easiest so far. Option 2 has seen a range of outcomes. I've heard unconfirmed news several additional countries may be added in the future to the Travel ban.

The individual holds a Nigeria marriage certificate, how viable is the option one ?

Please, my country Nigeria has just been named alongside 4 other countries on Immigrant Visa Ban category. I am so worried right now as i don't know if this would affect my case that is already with NVC?

My sister (USC) filed (2005) for me and my 2 younger ones (F4). We got the NVC letter May 2019 that visa is now available for us, and we have been on it since then. I have also submitted my documents to NVC waiting to be documentarily qualified. My younger brother got his visa already, remaining me and my younger sister.

Please would this immigrant visa ban affect cases that are already in process at the NVC?

Thank you as i await your responses.

You process along like normal.   Things can still change.   The co can also recommend a waiver at the interview.

What of those of us that have paid our fees, filed the petition and are still waiting for approval? How is this fair? We are married and will either have to leave the US to live with our spouse in Nigeria or continue to live separate lives. I just don't understand. This past year has been pure torture and now this. Just heartbreaking to say the least!
