Is there an option to speed up the process ? (Expedite)

Expedited processing is currently suspended, with the exemption of life-or-death emergencies. International travel does not count as such.

I would like to get a passport, but is anyone worried about their naturalization certificate being lost somehow? I do worry, given the current state of USPS at the moment. It's pricy to replace 😕

When we went Wednesday, we were assured that they understand the value of the document and it will be returned in perfect condition. They did staple Apple's certificate behind her passport application.

We decided to wait until the Social Security offices reopen to take care of changes to her card.

Not sure what to do with my case? I'm kinda helpless and frustrated as to whats going with my pending I751 and N400. So apparently my local field office wont schedule my N400 untill they received file from NBC that has been stuck there since Feb 2020. Last month after I involved my congressman/senator to intervene on my I751 case that has already been outside normal processing time and upon their request, NBC responded to them that although the I751 file is still at NBC but the scheduling of my i751 interview is within the jurisdiction of local field office and that once the local field office schedule interview, NBC will then forward the file to local field office but local field office Case officer stated otherwise! Officer also mentioned that they have requested NBC to send them a my I751 file but their request was decline for unknown reason.

I need your guys advise as to what should I do with my case? Should I involve USCIS ombudsmen to help expedite my I751 case? Would that help?

Is your N400 file at your local office? I thought that all the applications are under same A-file. I have told by tier 2 officer as well as congressman that they will only transfer file after the interview has been scheduled. I think once we apply for N400 that’s the timeline followed for processing both files. Has your local office started scheduling for 2020 applications?

I'm not too 100% sure  as to how it work with regards to N400. I filed online back in Jan, 2020 ,did biometric in Feb, 2020, this is where my I751 case got transferred from VSC to NBC and nothing since then.. I dont know if they have already started scheduling interview for 2020 application but I know couple of people who  have gotten interview last week and was approved instantly

I think offices in big cities are still catching up with cancelled interviews. From some of the post I have read, NY still doing 2019 interview so that could be the reason for delay. We are in same boat. I751 pending since dec 2018. After asking for help with senators office, they forwarded letter from NBC congressional liaison who said that 751 will be adjudicated when they schedule n400 interview and Chicago is currently working on doing cancelled interview and to follow n400 processing time on the uscis website. I know it sucks but hopefully they will soon start scheduling new interviews now that furlough has been avoided. Couple people in NJ just got their interview scheduled and they applied  I think Nov 2018 for I-751 and dec 2019 for n400 - this gives little hope that other cities may move soon

It sucks how USCIS process cases? No standard whatsover and they kept on claiming that they processed cases in the order they received which is a big lie.Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it:(

Have you checked in the November and December 2019 N-400 filer groups to see if there are any filers in Albany? Has there been any movement for those filers?

In the Jan2020 filers, most of the interviews so far are more in the center of the country, away from the borders. In the last 2 weeks we are starting to seen interviews in Washington and Florida. There have been none in California, Texas or New York. There are a couple in late September for Boston and San Antonio. I think the border states had larger backlogs before Covid, and they are farther behind now.

Unfortunately, there are not so many filer from Albany, NY location that I have seen it here so far which would be very helpful to keep track on how far Albany field office process cases?I understand there might be alot of backlog in these offices but my concerns why did NBC declined request from Albany field office to send them a I751 file? Tier 2 Officer had no idea why did they decline request?Did they lost my file or what? Something is not going right!
