So do it yourself for $1.50.

But why should I suffer with a bad nail job just to save like $40 or whatever twice a month? If I was going to do that, I'd just take it all off and have nothing on.

Mani pedi I learned quick. Old lady is used a lot by my Willamette valley hippies. Kickstand has now been added to my Swedish -murican lexicon.  You may be entitled to royalties should I  publish.

There is a lot i should get Royalties on.

I invented the term Tds, which the media now uses

A good friend of mine (Japanese-American) once told me that only rugs and packets of ramen noodles should be referred to as "Oriental."

Isn't there a line in the Big Lebowski about this? Both my ex AND my fiance are obsessed with that movie and I have had to listen to it on in the background like 75 times.

I tried to Mansplain to a group of pinay women who use the term, why it was not pc. They thought it was stupid

I think (from what I understand from speaking with my friend) is that it is not okay in America, and that Asian-Americans generally avoid using it, but people who are actually from Asian countries have less of an issue with it.

I use the term to refer to the geographic location from whence these talented ladies originate. I do believe this is still proper usage.

Your ex has good taste in cinema.

I'm sticking with the rugs/Top Ramen usage, but thank you. :)

My ex not only liked Coen Brothers movies, he also had a "well-curated" collection of "behind the adults only curtain" cinema that he thought he had excellent taste in! :P

Well-curated is the only way to have and manage any collection. Otherwise you're just a hoarder. ;)

My wife got her nails done once in the past 3 years.  Salon was full of gay Pakistani men.  Who do their best to pretend they're NOT gay because of their religion.  Sad, sad days.

Oh wow, I missed this earlier. That is sad. :( I don't see taking care of yourself as a particular sin for a man though I get why it's seen as such in certain cultures/religions. If a man can go get his hair cut, or get a shave (before my ex started growing a beard, he used to like to get a straight razor shave every so often for the pampering), why not get a manicure or pedicure or a spa treatment or a massage? If our bodies are meant to be temples, we should keep them clean and well-scented. :P

We have better things to do with our manly time.

Furthermore, these activities are almost as pretentious as getting one's shirt cuffs monogrammed.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I don't see any problem with any of it. What woman doesn't like a man who actually bothers to keep himself clean? Al does his own nails, to be fair, but he has done a few couples massages with me. They're really lovely experiences, and I only had to drag him to the first one. :innocent:

@Boris Farage, did you end up getting that pen monogrammed in the end?
