Greetings people, My case is been in AP since 12th December 2018 , usually after that my case has been updated once every month , but in Mid July me and my spouse decided to contact the Senator , but the embassy respond the same thing to him , but as they updated my case on 31st July last time the same day Senator send us the response , since than my case has not been updated , I waited 2 months as its mentioned in US embassy sites to wait before sending any inquiries but since than I have sent 3 Inquiries to them and they haven't replied to them , my question Is it normal that Embassy sometimes does not respond to inquiries ?

They are replying to few people but it’s happening to many people, even I’ve sent almost three inquiries on which instead of replying they just updated the case date on one inquiries and for rest of two inquiries they didn’t even updated the case status date.

even i sent inquiry via ustraveldocs and no reply till date.

Well you would just get the still in AP which you can see anyway. So pretty pointless.

You know you are in AP

A congressperson has inquired and told you are in AP.

Your status tells you you are in AP.

So them sending an email back to tell you you are in AP seems not a particularly high priority.

true, but obviously for us its important to know if there is any update in our case . That is only one way we can find out if there is progress in our case or not .

The update would be when the system shows you are not in AP.

Their system seems messy right now since it’s high volume. I requested and call many times about my case. My application was denied in February, but I knew that in August. I haven’t received denial notice yet even though requested some times through Tier2.

Do you happen to know the magic date for Afghanistan? We are in AP for 15 months and our last update was Sept 26.
