Hey all!! I would like to know if you guys know how to get a job in the USA for a USC while living/working outside. Is there a site or something I could use?

I've lived abroad for 7+ years in Germany and the Czech Republic and if you have any kind of IT skills its easy to get sponsored for a visa at least in Europe. Do you speak any languages besides English? Speaking German has made it easy for me to find jobs even outside of Germany as they outsource most of their low and mid level IT these days. The best part is often you get paid similar wages to Germans but get to live in a cheaper country that is way more fun.

I was going off his/her posting history from a few days ago where stated he/she is presently living in Sri Lanka and needing to find work to reestablish US domicile.

Ah, ok. Well if the OP is looking for online work, he can find that by searching for remote jobs on Monster or Indeed or teaching English online. But I'm not sure how that would reestablish him to being present in the US for housing.

Just any job search site and then searching whatever job it is you’re interested in/qualified for, or searching for companies directly if you know some you may be interested in working for

Our CR1 Journey:

 

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

 

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

 

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

 

October 11 2020: Arrived in US!

Possible just don't fall for the scams as the deal is too true to sound too good and the ones that make you pay.

 

Search through the popular news site from USA that mention jobs online. Most are commonly journalist, transcribers, medical, and a few other. Or even Amazon(?)!

Of websites or of websites vs searching companies? Depends on yourself, if you don’t know any particular companies, just use a job search site like indeed or snagajob etc. Then you can search up jobs relevant to your education or preference
