Our card was ordered to be produced in January 27. It is due to arrive February 1 (Usps priority mail).

We have a cluster mail box and our carrier is notorious for mis-delivering mail or leaving the entire cluster unlocked and open to thieves.

I will waiting outside all day Saturday for that Useless Stupid Postal Service  carrier to arrive, and will be chasing after that carrier if there is not green card in our mail box when she leaves.

Waited until an SMS that said it would be delivered 1-2pm. So went back inside after the status was updated to 2pm to 4pm. At 1pm-ish got a text that said it had been delivered.  We ran outside and the carrier was still distributing mail. Waited until she delivered a large package to the resident’s door while her truck was parked. And the magic envelope was there.

I carefully opened the envelope with letter opener and let Iris do the honors   Here green card was there.  Everything looks correct.

The bonus is that the date of issue and thus the date of expiry is the day of the interview. So that lets us apply for ROC and eventually citizenship about ten days sooner than we hoped.

Joy and relief on this day, America’s true national holiday.  Go Chiefs.

See you on the October 2021 ROC filers thread.

Oh I remember! It amazes me that these documents aren't sent by certified mail or they make you go to the post office to find it. I'm happy I'll get my 10 year gc now so the next step I only need to worry about is my N400 application in 3 years!

They are effectively sent by Certified  mail. They should add Signature Confirmation which requires the addressee to sign for it.

Even better would be an option to pick it up from the USCIS field office.

Hi 👋

What came to you first guys ?  NOA-2 letter or green card?  My status card was mailed to me from January 31, still no track number, I see that just NOA-2 will come today

I got the NOA-2 on Saturday. I have an update since Friday that says USPS picked up my card but there is no tracking number like the EAD had...

Hi friends, this question is for those who have already traveled abroad with their green cards (or whose spouse has). When you came back into the US, did they stamp your passport?

I took a trip home for the holidays and when I came back, I went through the kiosk thingies at the airport and it printed a slip of paper with my picture and info, then the CBP stamped the entry stamp on said paper. Before leaving the airport there was a final check, where another officer checked our documents and he ended up keeping the paper with the entry stamp. So there is no record on my passport that I entered the US. Just wondering if this is normal,  sorry if it's a super dumb question!
