The phone number to the SSN verification hotline is listed in this link. Maybe try calling them to see what the issue is.

Has any of you had trouble getting SSN? I'm having nightmare experience, everyone is telling me different information, both USCIS and SSA are useless. I applied on 31st July and then again 5th of September (the first application for declined as DHS couldn't confirm me and SSA told me to apply again) and I can't find any info what should I do to get it done. Waiting for EAD or GC might be impossible as I need SSN for my military card and health insurance with it. My husband is deploying in 12 days and this has been hard.

The SSN is only one of a few IDs you need to be added in DEERS,  you should be able to get ur dependant ID without a SSN here is a link to follow that shows you all the alternate IDs.

oooh I see the ssn verification hotline number is being used now! That makes me so happy that the number that helped us is getting around, we were going to make a thread for our story and how we used it for the hotline, and ask for it to be pinned because everyone should have access to the phone number, should we make this thread?

I'm so thankful for you! I've been talking to dozens of USCIS and SSA people and each is telling me something else. I actually didn't get the same answer as you on the line but I'll just go to SSA office tomorrow and tell them the same thing they told you. Hopefully they'll listen and call them.

Oh trust me we were getting the run around, then when I finally took this hotline number into them, it got everything done, they were didn't know about the number.  Getting the run around for the SSN is the most annoying thing ever, what is your situation?  Hopefully I can be of help, because I was able to figure ours out, and get it all done before I-94 two-week window for SSN was expired.
