Hey everyone! Our application got sent back now two times because of the wrong fee. First time I sent a check, it was the wrong amount. Second time I sent in the debit form but they rejected it because they want a check instead.

my package has the i485 and the work permit filed together (to save money). Is the fee $1225? Help!!

There is no debit form.

Form G1450 is for credit cards only.

If you input a debit card it would have been refused.

Unless it is a logo'd debit (visa or mc) which will process as a credit transaction

YMMV

1 person. What question is that?

If you put the wrong codes in EAD question 27 - it happens - then the fee is more than 1225. So, I would suggest before you mail it back that you look at the EAD form and see if question 27 says  "(C)(9)" or something else.

I put down a6. She came in on a k-1 and we got married and I’m adjusting her status. Am I ok or should I have put a9? Or C9? Ahhh I’m so confused😐

THIS is your problem. You need to put (c) (9) or else you need to send in money for EAD processing.

K-1 is (c) (9).

Omg it was really my mistake. Thank you soooooo much. I am fixing it now. Really appreciate it.

(a)(6) is for an EAD based on K-1 status. This is possible, but it requires the I-765 fee AND it expires at the end of the original 90 days from POE (which makes is useless with current processing timelines as it would be expired before they could even issue it).

(c)(9) is for an EAD based on a pending I-485 application. It has nothing to do with a K-1.

It also has no fee, which is the big one here.
