My this response may get taken out by mods, before they see and do,couldn’t stop myself from responding just for fun.

Your “i’m on my cellphone, between patients” for post title mistake is much better than the other-way around like

“You amputated my left leg!!!, it was supposed to be the left hand”

”i don’t know, I’m on my cellphone, between VJ Posts and damn responses”

Could be a Vet?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Now that’s actually funny 😄  I see no harm there. And nah, it would just be an eye. Besides she had two 😂

My wife informed me that she has never filed for taxes. According to her, it’s a common practice in India. I asked if she has things equivalent to a W-2 while applying for jobs. According to her this is not something she never came across. My question is, has anyone else gone through a similar scenario. Interested in knowing if this would delay our processing time, or should I need not worry. India has never really impressed me when it came to governmental documentation, however not wanting any unexpected surprises. We should be receiving our NOA 2 anytime now. Thanks again

No its not. Whats common is many people do not meet the income threshold there to have to file. Two completely different things. I think the limit is 2.5 Lakh after deduction. Basically if her salary is less than INR ~20k she is not filing taxes if she doesn't want a refund.

But you have to include her income if you are filing your taxes as MFJ, you do have to report her income when you file in the US. People rarely do tough.

He literally didn't say anything negative. You posted a vague question without any background. This is the internet, what did you expect? If you dont like the reply, ignore it. Its not that hard

To each their own my friend. I know smart (removed) comments when I see them. As a millennial, I’m quiet aware of what the internet brings.  However, I’m new when it comes to forums. So it is greatly appreciated when someone actually takes the time to help me out, regardless of any shortcomings on my end. Which as stated before, I have no problems owning up to. This is all very new for me, And I find it just as annoying when someone who is aware on what I’m trying to convey, takes the time to criticize , rather than help; or even ask for clarification. So again,I really do appreciate the helpful/forgiving responses you provided. You gave the most insightful response despite my way of getting across my concern. I’m sure you would have still managed to have done without filler comments between our posts. That’s all I’m saying. Anyways, thanks again

Correction, One way of helping is to CLARIFY any misunderstandings. I agree that my post is ambiguous but I’m on a cellphone, between patients, and carried a concern with no knowledge on to how to address it. You’re comment was not needed or warranted. @Boiler this is what you can define as judging. But again I appreciate those who actually took the time to answer the question. Thanks again

Lighten up doc.

I read that you can settle all arrears and back taxes by purchasing a few iTunes gift cards and giving India the codes for them.

Please don't be over-sensitive and take this as criticism, I'm posting it because it's something i have seen fairly often, across countries ad continents, whether we are talking about not paying taxes, driving while drunk, or worse things that get taken for granted: the new immigrant needs to remember things are done differently in the US when they get here. "but that's how we used to do it back in xxxx" is not gonna cut it.

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE! She told that when she worked she never received anything worth filing. It freaked me out. But yeah she is well aware of how we do things here. Thanks 😊
