Hello!

Regarding social media identifiers question. What name should I put exactly, the one I use to login (mostly email) or the one which appears on my profile page?

Also, I had MySpace account and google plus account, but I rarely use both, and I don't remember user name, and I can't login to either sites because apparently they are no longer on the Internet,  should I include those two accounts or not?

Also regarding personal phone number, I have used one number in 2014 and stopped using it, and my current number I have been using since the end of 2014, should I include both numbers?

I don't know who has my previous number now, I'm thinking it's risky to provide it, especially that i'm not the one who's been using it since 2014!

They need your handle, so the name used on your account, not your login ID or password.  For facebook, you can just copy and paste the link of your profile, other sites might be able to do the same as well.

don't worry about MySpace or Google Plus.  Google Plus you can always just use your email, but Youtube and other Google related services will cover it anyway.

For phone number, just provide your current phone number, unless the question asks you to divulge old and new phone numbers for the 'last X years'.

Ok, so apparently I misunderstood what they actually wanted.

just to make sure I get it.

I have one Facebook account only, but I had two names for it, the previous name 3 years ago was composed of my first name and surname, while my current name includes first name middle name and surname. Should I list both names separately?  Though my current name is what is displayed on my Facebook profile.

I would list both names you used.  It's just a couple extra seconds to add another name, and the more you disclose, the better off you are.

Wouldn't this indicate having two separate accounts? Especially that I have to list both names separately.

They want everything, so list both.  Don't hold any information back from immigration when they ask for it.  Include it all.  If you don't, and they find out, it looks like you're not honest, like you're trying to hide something.

Im sorry but is this something new? I don’t recall seeing the social media handle part on my DS160 when I filled it this past February.

this is replacing the ds5535 (which may still be given out)  but is to make it fair for all visas

the old ds5535 required the last 5 years of info (cell numbers,   email ID's,  social media, etc) plus travel outside the country

they finally realized they could track passport stamps so they cut that part out

just follow the instuctions of ds 160

any email ID' connected to your cell phone or a computer (or a family member cell that you use) is needed /  things like whatsapp is an app and encryptied so not part of what they ask for

and my space is a social media so i would list it / if you never delected your profile there ,  you are still a member

this includes all dating sites you have a profile on (past and present)
