Smh I’m emotionally exhausted 😢.

literally started this 14 months ago

I stared 2015 but it really 2016, I said 2015 because I was waiting on a lawyer to start the process from May 2015-oct and I had to find another one Dec 2015, they end 2016 every thing got messy and so on.

today I am just waiting for July 30 to come so I can go for my interview.

just letting you know your not the only one who been doing this process a long time.

I’m aware however in all honesty people like you and among others oddly NVC was able to see how long you waited in previous stages and you were able to get an interview fairly quickly . I’ve been w/my husband five years , ir1 , 14 months already waiting  yet I’m in a queue waiting with people whom were quickly approved yet we just so happened to be in the same time frame as far as CC and honestly I feel  that isn’t right . That’s just my unpopular opinion !

MAYBE because a lot of people applied.

I only get the date fast because not much people apply not even a hand full did at this time. I only found one person and they just get their case number last week.

NVC says they are waiting on the embassy. Embassy says they are waiting on NVC. Such a confusing time, and nothing move for anyone.VERY FUSTRATING

When I called NVC yesterday, the rep told me that my case is slightly different. I don't know why she said that. May be because I am an EB applicant.

It is also very likely that they are running some additional background checks which is part of the new extreme vetting.

No, they are mutually exclusive. Only USCIS offices abroad are gradually being closed; USCIS is under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Nothing to do with US Embassies which are under the Department of State. Trump is bringing USCIS officers back to home soil to help with the huge backlog of cases in the USCIS; USCIS officers abroad don't issue visas or interview people for visas. Also, only handful of countries actually have USCIS offices.

USCIS Director Lee Francis Cissna sent a message to all employees last month saying he was working to transfer the duties of international offices to the State Department, and that if they agreed, the closures would take place.

So all the work from USCIS is being transferred to the state department, which embassies are under?

Actually some USCIS abroad offices have already shutdown or have dates to shutdown. Not all work from USCIS abroad offices will be transferred to the State Department - like adjucation of I-130, that will always stay with USCIS.
