How much time is enough? Should i wait a few months? Also, what would my legal status be- Am I still single or married? Am I supposed to change status for W-2? Thanks

You can apply now.  The problem is that you will have a hard time proving a bona fide relationship with a short courtship and marrying on the first visit.  Make sure that you have evidence of a bona fide relationship when you file the I-130.  Don't file with just the marriage certificate as your proof.  READ UP ABOUT FRONTLOADING.

You are married.  Everywhere in the world.  After all, marriage is what you would base your I-130 on to petition for your husband.

Changing your tax withholding is up to you.  You will have to decide to file married filing separately or married filing jointly with your husband.  There is no simple answer because every couple's tax situation is different.

Hi! My marriage was also an arranged marriage and when I went back home last August we got married in like 4 days after me arriving. I submitted all the necessary documents and a couple photos like wedding ceremonies, going on our honeymoon, family outings. I also sent in notarized signed letters on behalf of his family and mines stating that they knew about our plans of getting married and our relationship. I also submitted both our honeymoon plane tickets. I only stayed for about 1 month and won’t be going back again until June and by then he should have an interview already. Countries like India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, arrange marriages are common. Don’t sweat it. Good luck!

I suggest you file as soon as you can because it will take many months before he can move here. I filed for my spouse one month after marriage and we did not have any issue. If you have photos together from wedding/honeymoon/travels, include those as well as anything which will make your relationship look genuine.

Don't hire lawyers, they are worthless and many times has less immigration knowledge than average Vjers. You can do all yourself by following guides and advises here. Lawyers may help when case is complicated, yours seems to be pretty straight forward.

Also i suggest you to go CR1 route as this will allow him to drive/work as soon as he gets here.

We got accepted by the uscis without any rfe.

Most petitions are approved without issue.  The bigger hurdle for India and Pakistan is of course the embassy/interview stage.

As opposed to what?  They are already married, so that is their only option.

It may help you to have at least one more visit before you file, but it's worth noting that part of the reason for interviews being done at a local consulate is that they take into account the local culture's practices. Since your culture often arranges marriages, this will not be the same type of red flag as it might be if you were from a country that does not practice arranged marriages. The important thing here is for you to prove that your husband did not marry you specifically so that he could enter the United States; if he has a decent job, strong ties India, has not dated an American before you, has never been denied or overstayed a visa, and has a clean criminal record, you should be fine.

Wow lucky you...We have similar dates. My PD is 5/22/18, I-130 approved 11/28/18 and my husband is still waiting for an interview, I know it's different countries but geesh

Ours was faster because our case was expedited, we didn't go through nvc.

Yes Arranged...same ...we just stay in the city and I just sent my immigration in and out stamp out of delhi and I visited my wife twice in few months after our marriage...oh by the way I did everything myself...just do your homework on I130 and I130 A...and make sure your spouse hand sign with black ink on I130 A...even the instructions says if your spouse is not in US ...leave that part...I have seen so my REFs so that part and delayed even further...

If my spouse is out of USA, does he still need to fill I-130A by himself? Can i fill it out instead- I think i can leave the signature part blank? Thanks

The petitioner should fill it out and sign it.
