Start getting the I-134f and supporting evidence ready. Make sure your beneficiary’s passport isn’t gonna expire, brith certificate has an English translation etc

Ask about the English translation. For example here in Czech the US embassy do not need the English translation for any documents that are in Czech

When you get a date for an interview, you can pay and do a medical examination.

So I take it that the interview has to be booked first and then to go and book the medical exam?

It doesn’t necessarily matter for the UK. I have my medical booked for early May and my case is still at the NVC. All that matters is that you have your case number and the medical is at least 5 days before the interview. Take in mind however, for the UK, the visa is valid for 6 months from the medical date, not the interview date

So can the Medical exam results be sent to the Consulate even if they haven't received the package from NVC yet?

Also, at the interview, if the co-sponsor earns enough to meet the income requirement but the CO doesn't like our choice for a co-sponsor, do they give us a chance to find another or is that the end and I won't be allowed to get the visa?

1) Yes, that’s totally fine.

2) I’m not sure. I would expect you’d go into AP pending a new Co-Sponsor. Perhaps this question would be better asked in the UK portal.

@Greenbaum, I don't suppose you have copies of anything the UK sends out to hand, do you?

Also, I received my email from the medical place here, if you'd like a copy?

We finally get to move to this thread~! <3

NOA1 was Jan 17, 2019.

NOA2 was Apr 26, 2019.

Still waiting on the hardcopy but it should arrive soon since weekend is over! We'll also update our e-mails and start calling in 10ish days. I'll also gonna start put the next batch of forms together. :3

It's a bit scary and getting anxious since I haven't seen many Austrian's apply for a K-1 visa but I hope to find my way to the interview and what comes after.

It's currently taking exactly 2 weeks from your NOA date for the NVC to receive, but it wont be in the system until the following day. Good luck and welcome!

I'm not sure that's true for everyone. I just called NVC this morning and my case was received on April 25th, NOA2 was dated April 15th...so just a bit under 2 weeks.

The person I spoke with said to allow up to 8 weeks for the case number to be assigned 😂🙈🙈😳

I was thinking of calling in a week, does anyone know how long it's taking for case numbers to be assigned?

Apparently, thats the standard time frame that is being told to everyone but it is usually wayyyyy shorter then that. I would recommend calling every other day if not everyday lol

Just called, agent said that the case was being entered into the system at that very moment and she was able to give me the case number and invoice ID.

She said she can't make any changes because it was currently in editing. (Not sure what all that means, but I am happy!)
