But there is no box for petitioners mother or son in i864 form thats why its calculated as 3.  please note that my wifes father is the joint sponsor living in same residence where my wife lives

you wife would only been counted in her fathers household if they claim her on their taxes. Household size isn't about who is living in the house.

Petitioners mother is the joint sponsors wife. son's are dependents he puts 2. Please fill out right so not to avoid issues and delays.

he would put  1 for the beneficiary, 1 for himself, 1 that he is married, 2 for his dependents.

Sorry his household size is 5 forgot to add beneficiary.

Oh ok. I thought there was something newer that I was missing. I had read about T's proposal to raise it to 250%, and was afraid that that is what OP was referring to. I'm relieved. Thank you!

There's still no formal update on that policy. I'm curious if (and what parts of) it will be adopted too.

Thanks I never read that part. I took my info from another site which now, of course, I cannot find.

2017 is the most recent tax year up until the 2018 Tax Filing Deadline on April 15th, 2019. Up until then you can submit/provide 2017 or 2018 Tax Returns as most recent filing year.

AFTER April 15th, 2019, 2018 Tax Returns will be considered the most recent tax year.

Thank you for answer brother so ,i have interview 2/4/2019 so i took tax return 2017 right .thank you for answer.

Had your interview Feb 4th, 2019?

Or will have it on April 2nd, 2019? (which 2/4/2019 does not say)

As long as your interview is BEFORE April 15th, 2019, you can submit 2017 or 2018 as most recent tax year.

AFTER April 15th, 2019, you can ONLY submit 2018 as most recent tax year.

You're welcome, sister!

thank you for ur answer I have interview in 2 april 2019 and tax return is enough or i need transcrip IRS.

CR1 or IR1 interview? Please clarify what kind of interview you are talking about when you post because the situation varies depending on the visa/application type.

You would have uploaded your Tax Return Transcripts and W2s to the NVC. Then you bring those copies to your CR1 or IR1 interview.

as per my info if (joint sponsor ) living in the same house then he needs to fill form i864A. In form I864A there is no house hold size option. its only available in I864 which the petitioner has to fill. please note that my wife is included as a dependent in her fathers tax returns
