I predict the Prius is going to fade into the sunset.  It really makes no economic sense or environmental .They are doing away with the C and V already , the new hybrid corolla gets 52 and the 4 cylinder Camry is getting up to 40 on the hwy.

Ban SUV's? 

 

One was on my wish list before I moved over, loved the idea of driving on the beach and some trails.  Insurance and road tax along with gas prices would have made it impossible in Ireland.

 

Finally picked up an older 4runner just before Christmas and I ain't parting with it, and if some idiot runs out in front of me and gets killed well that's on him not the SUV.

May-09-2018   Visa approved, CEAC status changed to "Issued"

May-11-2018   Passport returned along with envelope for border control.

Pedestrian deaths are up because of 2 things, IMO. Distracted pedestrians and distracted drivers. People walk around with earphones listening to music and are oblivious to their surroundings, walking out in front of cars etc. Drivers are distracted by their phones, navigation screens etc. People text and drive. I’ve seen people FaceTiming in traffic. When no one is paying attention, look what happens.

Whelp, I just got home from hubby saying ''hey honey let's go out for the day and i'll take you shopping''.. sure I said, and what started out as a happy day quickly soured for us both when we encountered so many erratic drivers BUT also pedestrians that are just staggering into the roadway like zombies. I mean seriously. Just aimlessly wandering, and not always on the phone while doing it. No conception of space around them, no looking both ways, or if there is a green light or oncoming vehicles.. just slow as a turtle. I think they are high.. I mean just don't know what other explanation there could be. A spectacular ending was a person driving the wrong way up I95. I sincerely doubt they are alive right now.

4runners hold value like crazy. I will say its outdated,  but getting a do over in 2020. Cant even get a power lift gate on a 4 runner. Women love them for some reason
