Once I emailed my congressman for their assistance, it took total of 2 weeks to have my status changed.  so I would say give and take 1 week to ask for evidence?

Gotcha! And you emailed the congressman before or after they asked for your evidence? (Sorry for all the questions!!)

oh ok so here is exactly what happened, i tried calling USCIS to submit a request, after 1.5 hours wait, I got so frustrated I emailed my congressman office and told him i cant reach them, i needed their help, so they called to expedite for me, i gave my congressman staff the offer letter to submit on my behalf. so i never really was involved with USCIS as they were impossible to reach.

Hi guys! How long does it take for an office to schedule an interview after the notice? I just noticed the status of my case changed to ready to be scheduled. Is this just something that happens quickly or as the USCIS website states I can be waiting 17months? My office is San Francisco, CA.

Ready to be scheduled just means that it's in the interview queue. You could be waiting weeks, months or years depending on the processing times of your LFO.

The status you want is "Interview Scheduled". That would mean you have been scheduled and can expect an interview notice within the month.

I did the expedite process for my husband's case and it got approved. We did not use a congressman or anyone else. I told my husband to call USCIS and tell them he wanted to expedite his process due to a job offer. they told him he would receive an email but never did. A week after calling he called again to tell them he never received and email, they gave him a fax number. A week later we faxed a job offer letter, expense proof and a letter from me. 3 weeks after we submitted the evidence he called and they told him he was approved!!! EASY

Just got 5 messages from USCIS, new, old website and track app updates with new status update ‘we are ready to schedule your interview yada yada’! Yey

my hubby’s bday is tomorrow and this was a nice thing to happen. I know we are just in line and it might take some time for the interview...

Mine also change to "ready to schedule for an interview" today..

I know the waiting still not over yet..but its like a present for my 1st day of spring season.

1 - Roughly how long it it taking to receive the work authorization?

2 - Is the work authorization processed by a service center or a local field office?

1. 4.5 to 6.5 months currently for both EAD and AP.

2. The I765 and I131 are processed at the National Benefits Centre (NBC) in MO.

My husbands phone has been broken all day... I just FINALLY managed to get it changed & all these notifications came through & a txt from USCIS saying theres been an update on our case..

This is a shock to us because we didn't expect it to say this so soon! WOOOOOOOOOO
