“Ruh-roh Rhaggy!!”

If only someone had been so kind as to have stuck a thermometer in the oceans about 50 million years ago, we might know without having to guess.

Remember when eggs were good for you?  Then they weren’t?  And now they are again?  Or water... ermagherd, you had to drink QUARTS of water in the army to survive.  That is, until a study a few years back concluded that too much water could kill you.

What mystifies me is how the error-laden paper made it past the peer and internal review processes.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

But wait a minute.  Since then there has been 5 ice ages, each followed  by a period of global warming.  None of which man had anything to do with.

I love this part.

"According to the most recent IPCC report, climate emissions need to be cut by 20 percent by 2030 and then zeroed out by 2075 to keep warming from exceeding 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) above preindustrial levels."

How are they going to zero out all emissions (I am assuming they are talking about CO2) by 2075 without eliminating all life on earth?

It was already settled science (apparently a vote was taken by secret ballot), so no need to peer review any story that promotes the narrative.

Yo Simian.... don't you know that errors don't matter when grant money is at stake?

Probably expedited for publication for this very reason.

You guys are all full of crazy conspiracy theories. You probably even believe the sun has an impact on the Earths climate. Don't you know the science is settled and the sun has no impact on the climate. It's all suvs and cow farts.

I remember being berated here in CEHST a year ago when I said that logic defies the current global climate change theories.  Multiple ice ages prior to man being around, the size of the cosmos vs. our little planet... I was mocked because I am not a scientist, therefore I cannot know what scientists know.

I just looked again, and Miami is still above water.

Sweet, more confirmation bias. Climate change is a hoax, because a small group of scientists screwed up. What more proof would you want?  Did it ever occur to anyone that peer review, isn't the end of the process? Nah, echo chambers are too much fun, to bother with pesky facts.

Best of luck disproving all the other studies.

We have had a nice couple of days of Global Warming, looks like more snow on Saturday.

Has anyone here or anywhere in the general population of those skeptical of human induced global warming ever said that the earth's climate does not change or fluctuate?  Btw, they want to zero out all emissions by 2075, are all the manmade climate change true believers going to be the first to jump into the open pit?

I am so amazed that these learned "supposed" scientists can ignore, or downplay the effect of the Sun.  Here is an example of one that doesn't ignore that big fireball in the sky.  Of course she must be wrong since she is a mathematics professor.

Professor Valentina Zharkova explains and confirms why a "Super" Grand Solar Minimum is upon us

Professor Valentina Zharkova gave a presentation of her Climate and the Solar Magnetic Field hypothesis at the Global Warming Policy Foundation in October, 2018. The information she unveiled should shake/wake you up.

Zharkova was one of the few that correctly predicted solar cycle 24 would be weaker than cycle 23 - only 2 out of 150 models predicted this.

Her models have run at a 93% accuracy and her findings suggest a Super Grand Solar Minimum is on the cards beginning 2020 and running for 350-400 years.

The last time we had a little ice age only two magnetic fields of the sun went out of phase.

This time, all four magnetic fields are going out of phase.

Here's a great (and relatively brief) video explanation of Zharkova's presentation from Diamond and Lee Wheelbarger:
