I brought my marriage certificate. The receptionist DID give me a hard time because my bio letter was in my married name but my K1 Visa was in my maiden name. He refused to even look at my MC though and he was ready to send me in to speak to an onsite USCIS officer. Luckily another receptionist set him straight.

I'd say bring your MC because they are just as ignorant as SSA.

Thank you will do that ..just in case i will go with all my orginals never know with them

Hello. So yes in my situation I brought a copy of my marriage certificate (just to be safe) because my drivers license has my maiden name on it and while filing the AOS paperwork I am now using my married name. Everything I  brought was

- appointment letter

- ID

- marriage certificate

Okay thank you

I’m so happy to hear! 👍🏼 I’m the beneficiary and my husband is the USC. I actually was able take my chances and go get my biometrics done today. Just walked in at 11:15am and not one single person was there. I went by myself. I also went to a different location then stated in the letter. As soon as I walked in I was asked if I had an appointment and I answered no and she smiled and said okay and handed me paper work to fill out. I was in and out 10 mins.

That is great to hear thank you for sharing! My husband, the beneficiary may take his chances and go there prior! His appointment is next week anyways so I guess I'll see what he wants to do, it's a decent 45 minutes away. I was going to take off of work but if it's not needed and he can go by himself that's great!

I'm starting to wonder if my status are messing up.. Today it's been two weeks since my biometric appointment and I'm still on fingerprint fee was received for the I-485, case was received for the EAD and AP. Anyone of you had his status changed since the biometrics?

@Gibus don’t worry I think they are slow in updating. I did my biometrics Dec 4. Online it still says they got the fee for fingerprint. Monday I got a courtesy letter regarding my medical form that I didn’t send. So yesterday I called to make sure I understand what’s on the courtesy letter and before I hang up I asked them if they received my biometrics since It hasn’t updated, the woman check and she said that they did received it Dec 5. So don’t worry, they are just slow updating.

Thank you. I had a bad experience with my first application so I'm easily worried ;)

@Gibus do you have an online account on USCIS? The woman yesterday told me that if I sign up that I get the most up to date status thru that, not sure if it’s really true. I still haven’t sign up.

@Gibus Finally I found another person filing from Harlingen. My PD is Sept 21 and "case ready for an interview" since October 30. Do you have an idea of what month they are currently working on?

Hi that’s awesome, another valley applicant :) I had a rejection and I was originally a September filler. Now I’m a late October one, my PD is October 31st.

I was hopping the Harlingen September fillers had some more news for their interviews but obviously you are still waiting!

I’m still at the fingerprint fee received stage, with biometrics done on November 28th.

I have no idea which cases they are processing right now. But on the USCIS the processing time is 6.5 to 20 months so it’s pretty good and some other local offices with those numbers are already scheduling interviews. Keep me posted, are you adjusting from a K-1 too?

No, I am adjusting from F1, Harlingen is usually fast, at least from what I have heard so hoping to get something in January but the wait is killing. I will keep you posted.

Yes I didn't see it at first, but when I saw Kingsville I thought about Texas AM ;) So the F-1 makes sense. So you were on a student Visa and got married to an USC and now applying for AOS?
