Hello Everyone !!

I have submitted my pacakage on Nov 9th but still I have not recieved NOA  / Extension letter yet.I called USCIS and they told me that they have sent NOA long time back if I ask them to resend it they are charging a fee of $ 465. Did anyone experience this issue.Officer asked me to go to post office and get a letter from them stating they never delivered NOA to my address. If they give me this letter they are ready to waive the fee.

Did anyone experience the same issue.please help what should I do.

Thanks in Advance

😱 I didn't know there was fee. I don't think you have to pay anything. Try to submit e-request of non delivery, but you have to have receipt number which you can get by calling USCIS customer service.

Hi, everyone.

My USCIS account says they received my form on Nov. 27 and sent me the receipt notice, but I swear I haven't received anything yet.

So I called USCIS and the officer made a request for non delivery for me on Jan. 7, but no confirmation mail or anything..

Am I supposed to get any text message or something after I requested non delivery thing?

My USCIS account also doesn't show that I made a request.

I am planning to visit my family back in my country next month, so I am super worried now.

Thank you!

Yes you should have recieved a email confirming your request. You should make your own E-request on USCIS website. Sounds like the customer service rep didn't send that request.

There's some advice that's often given in travel forum by the abbreviation of HUACA: Hang Up And Call Again.

When you get a person on the phone that doesn't know what they're talking about or don't want to help you, politely thank them, hang up, and call again.  It's annoying and time-consuming, but often works (unless you awkwardly get the same rep again).

I've never heard of a fee to send an NOA.  Their request for the letter from the post office is Kafkaesque...they are never going to give you a letter telling you they didn't deliver something.

Hey,
I'm in a similar position to a lot of other people here. Sent off my i751 on Nov 13th to the AZ address, tracked shipping said it arrived Nov 16th.

I have not heard anything back yet, no e-notice, no sms, no NOA and I am starting to get more and more worried that it's been lost/not received  as my green card expires on Jan 26th.

I was hoping on some advice as to what I should do...? I've read of people making E-requests, calling, making an info pass appointment but I'm not sure what to do for my situation? I don't even have a receipt number for the application. Should I do something ASAP or wait til after my green card expires?
Thankyou :)

I think you should call USCIS asap and ask what's going on.  If they already received your case, you can get your receipt number.

Well, here is part 2 of my earlier comment.

I went to my infopass appointment. My GC will expire on February 6th.

I was once more very luck to get a rep that was incredibly helpful. Same as the lady that took my call, he reassured that this was happening to a lot of people and that it was nothing particular from my case, so I should not worry.

He mentioned that some offices do have the possibility to print an oficial copy of the NOA1, but unfortunately that was not the case of the Tampa Office. That is why he went ahead and placed a stamp on my passport.

He mentioned that if I would have gotten the letter, I would get to keep the card and the letter would give me an 18 moth extension. However, the best thing was to make sure I had an extension to my GC so the stamp was the best next thing, even-thought it's only a 1 year extension. He even wrote a note on the stamp explaining the reason for the stamp so the next rep that I encounter when I get a new extension in one year would have the background of the case.

He told me that if I get the NOA1, it wont be able to use it since I no longer have the card, but to keep it because it has important information that I need to have handy.

In deed it was not the best outcome, but I did get peace of mind and I have something in my hand to show that I have a right t work and stay in this country.

Hope this information helps. :)

So how did you make an infopass appointment?  By calling USCIS or just electronically?  We noted earlier that you stated it was nearly impossible to get an infopass appointment at the Tampa office.  Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Hi all,

Filled: Nov. 15

NOA hard copy received: Dec. 14

Center: LIN

I did not receive a notice for Biometrics appointment yet. Is it normal?

I am curious about this as well. Finally received my NOA hard copy after 60 days waiting, but I have yet to receive anything regarding a biometrics appointment. I have read others receiving their appointment even before receiving their NOA!  Since everything seems to be so backed up (and so many people being told notices were mailed when indeed nothing had been mailed at all), I wonder if I should start harassing them about it.

Anyone else in the same boat??

🙋‍♂️

Checking case status online should say what's going on once the case number is in the system.

My understanding is a 2nd Biometrics isn't done in a large portion of cases as they have AOS Biometrics. I did read someone missed their appointment because they never received the notice, but that was just one person. It doesn't seem to be a recurring theme as with the NOAs..who knows...but if we miss the appointment because of a notice that wasn't sent, that's on them.

Biometrics would not be reflected in case status though. I didn’t get NOA1 but I got my biometrics and did the appointment but my case status still says “case received, we mailed you NOA1”

The rep that took my call suggested that I keep looking into the website, since cancellations can happen and appointments become available.

I kept going daily into the website and I got lucky.

Went today at 7:15 am...and it was practically empty. I think that probably, because of the gov shutdown, they have limited personnel, and because of that limited appointments available. Other 4 people where there with me at that time. No lines, no crowd.

So keep trying via the website. You might have a better chance that way.
