I understand your frustrations and trust me we are all frustrated. It is like our lives are on hold because of them. Make an e-request, talk to Tier 2 and pray is all I can say tbh...

So I have done an e-request..should I do another one?

How do I get a Tier2?

I called 1-800-375-5283 and first I selected that I had a receipt number and got an automated reply  and no option to get a rep. Called once more and selected I did not have a receipt number and somehow got thru to a rep. So how do you get to a Tier2?

Any guidance will be very appreciated!

We initially did a Tier 2 request and 2 days ago did an e-request as well.

In order to get to Tier 2Talk to a customer service rep and explain your situation then politely request them to transfer you to Tier 2. Once they transfer you, you'll enter your phone number and wait for Tier 2 to call you back. Their number on my cell showed up as "Scam Likely" so do pick up. I am not sure how useful Tier 2 will be because we called on December 14th and they haven't done anything about our situation.

Good Luck!

It's been almost 2 months since USCIS received my case and still no NOA yet, but I'm so relieved that I finally have an appointment to get I-551 stamp on my passport this week, a week before my green card expires. If the USCIS office near you isn't accepting walk in request or scheduling infopass appointment, call USCIS toll number and they will bypass it in their system. Someone from USCIS will call you after 3 days and will set up an appointment on any day and time that works for you. Got mine on this coming Thursday at 3:30 pm.

I will be going in as well I got an appointment in 2 weeks but it's all the way in Pittsburgh I live in West philly so that like 5 to 6 hour drive even though it's the same state at this point I'm just gonna go. The other location nearest to me doesnt have anything open.

Do you need to have a valid passport to get  the I 551 stamp? Unfortunately my passport expired latel last year. I would have to fly out to sf or la to get it renewed...

is my SRC the receipt #?

Hi Mash, I had almost the same timeline as you do. my green card expired. before i got my NOA

I had to call the uscis twice... and i did an E-request on Dec,18. I received and email on Dec,31st saying that they requested a resend of my NOA. I got it by mail on Jan 5th.
I would recommend you do the E-request. and call them and explain your situation.

My Case was sent to Nebraska's Office. Receipt number started with LIN.

Hope things works out soon for you.... I hope i was helpful.

as of January 7th I have been married for 3 years now and this NOA1 is taking so long, I am not sure if anyone knows this here but can I just go and do my citizenship without the NOA1 even if my GC is expired, cause this is getting annoying.

No, you don't go by the date you married.  You start counting by the resident since date on your green card.

You have to wait until you had your green card for 3 years... not since you got married... so if you got your green card on November 2016... you can apply for citizenship on November 2019... or 90 days before that from what i have read.
And also based on the reading i have been doing lately... I believe that you can apply for citizenship while your I-751 is still pending...

But I would read more if i were you before i apply for anything.
but definitely wait until it's been 3 years since you became a resident before applying for citizenship.

I"m really sorry. But hopefully you'll get it before.

This is the number i called. 1 (800) 375-5283

I can't really remember the numbers to press... but choose the options for permanent residents. and then try to choose the option that says Don't have a receipt number. even if you do have one.
