After 225 days we were approved. So glad to join this group. My first question is this: Will my fiances 12 year old daughter need to be at the interview in Bucharest and my second is how big of a difference does it make if I am present for the interview?

Thank you

Congrats!Welcome to this group

Good day to all. There are a few questions. We received a NOA 2 on November 8th. When you think you can call the NEC to find out the number?

You can call the NVC whenever you want but you will not get an answer this soon most likely,  my opinion is call closer to December or a week after. More knowledge folks than I like greenbaum would have a better idea.

Is the 12 yo a K2 on the 129f? If your embassy is easy to process through then no, but if it can be troublesome then I think it will help to be there. How many visits have you made in total to be with your fiancée. This would include any before you filed and those that were after need to be counted as a total. Those two items will have a baring on how I answer your questions.

She is a K2 and I have been there 8 times.

Yes your K2 needs to be at the interview with mom. The CO will probably ask her one or two questions as they did the same with my two K2's. The one that sticks out is "how many times have you met "John"? What do you call him? Mine answered "Tito Greenbaum"; Tito is a respectful and used for naming purposes for non-family individual in the Philippines. Like referring that he is a close uncle.

You having traveled to her hometown 8 times is an excellent sign that the two of you have a solid relationship. If the rest of your file is in good shape, for you to be there is now a personal choice. In my opinion, and I have no data to back this up, but if you are there it supports her and the CO looks kindly on you but for you I think you should be fine. Good luck.

This is for her.  The interview will be about the petitioner, the beneficiary, and the relationship. Always tell the truth even if the truth is "I don't know". Don't rush in answering and give a straightforward answer. Don't give a novel as your answer. Look the CO in the eye when answering and smile. Just be brief and concise. Don't volunteer any information unless asked, this could send you down the wrong road. AND, Don't forget to ask if you passed.

Just talked to the sweetest NVC customer rep and they received our case yesterday! She emphasized that I could call back anytime to check on whether they have assigned the case number but that it's protocol that she gives me a time frame of 8 weeks. 😄 She was so sweet.

you found an unicorn in the NVC 🤣  I'm still waiting so patience 😓  ... 🎶wake me up when this process ends~ 🖱️🎵 😀

I received an email from the new cite on November 6th, however on the Noa2 hard copy states November 3rd. Last night I decided to call them late around 8:30 eastern time and they said they received it yesterday morning along with a lot of other approvals. I'm assuming a lot of people will hear from them soon.

Congratulations!  How did you receive notification?  We are three weeks in from our NOA2 date, but haven't heard anything yet.  I called but they gave me the canned response of it could take up to 8 weeks to receive.
