Just FYI, Pakistan is in South Asia, not a MENA country.

It is, but has similar attributes.

Maybe 4 days.. we can't be physically together as I live in USA and being single parent.

For us, known each other almost 8 years, married 3, 10 trips. You haven't seen the worst of the Pakistan Embassy, my friend. Good luck!

Thanks Bill & Katya, we have good history for relationship. It was crazy day at consulate. They refused another lady's also while her US fiance was physically present at the embassy. In her case they said her engagement pics looks like marriage has been done...

These is something else going on here...

You’re mad so that’s understandable but there isn’t some big conspiracy here. Not being able to prove a legitimate couple and being too married for K1 are the biggest reasons for denials. In a high fraud country like yours, you need a lot more time spent together in order to succeed. Go back, get married, make some trips somewhere else too, show them that you really are a real couple. Put your wife on your life insurance, banks, credit cards, etc. Make lots of FaceTime. Then apply for CR1. It’s the only way to be successful.

There's too many factors that go into the decision to ever be clear what was the specific issue for the CO to determine that the relationship was not bona fide. However, there are some factors known to be more common with additional scrutiny and denials. Time spent physically together is likely the largest. Response to questions are usually not that big of a factor IMO (assuming nothing obviously negative was stated)...they already know the vast majority of the factors by the time of the interview.

Possibly a lack of frontloading was an issue as well. That said, it doesn't sound like there was a whole lot to frontload with either.

More time together is the best way to show a bona fide relationship, even if it's far from the only way to do so.

Wow Imej,

I'm terribly sorry for your denial but only spending 4 days together is the reason you were denied. It just screams fake. Your best bet is to spend as much time as you can with your other half over the next while and look to apply for CR1.

i was also outside the embassy for my husband's 1st CR1 and it was my 3rd trip (one month,  2 months and 3 months)

he was still denied

you are dealing with a high fraud country

http://mypathtocitizenship.com/which-countries-are-on-the-uscis-high-fraud-list/

you will have to go thru a lot of face time visits

you should marry there

and it will be a hard and long process

ours was a total of 6 years (applied 1st for K1 in 2009)

visa in 2015

many of us do this

many of us get frustrated

but there are guidelines the embassy has to follow

this is for the protection of USC and our country

good luck

stick it out for your loved one and u can make it

we are now on the road to my husband's citzenship

@Adil & Jeanne Is there an age difference between you and your fiance? If so do you mind saying how much?
You visited for one month duration, then 2 months duration, then 3 months duration? So total time together 6 months?

I'm sorry it took you this long :( My heart drops when I read about this.... It must have been so extremely difficult for you.

I'm starting to ride the panic express now! Our interview is this Monday!

My fiance and I met for 5 days only about 3.5 months after we started talking. He asked me to marry him and I said yes, of course! .....  we fell in love before meeting each other what can I say :) And we filed immediately so about 4 months after I first wrote him.

Fast forward 8 months and here we are, interview this coming Monday! We are lucky enough to have spent 2 months together this year, 4 different trips so far and I leave again next Thursday and will stay with him for 9 nights. I tried to time it right to be at the interview - even though I would have had to wait outside the embassy! (which just got shot at a month ago!)

Anyhow, sorry to OP for hijacking thread. I hope the best for you OP ❤️

the number of visits you have made will help a lot

some embassies ask silly questions // don't know if turkey does

like "what did your finance eat for breakfast?"

if the USC is not in the country the correct response is "he / she is not out of bed yet as the time is so different"

so,  if a question like this is asked,  make sure the CO knows the petioner is there and they had breakfast together

these type of questions are not silly/ not stupid but to make sure the person is well informed about u and not making up answers

best of everything to u

good life together

OP, many of us follow our heart without thinking about the rest of the world or what others will think including Homeland Security.

I did... me and my fiancé took a chance, like you did. We have tried to make the best out of it all and we will get through whatever comes our way.

Do not feel badly about your choices. No matter if you didn't visit enough first or "filed too soon" or if anyone tells you you took up room that others could have had in line. You have a right to be with the person you love just as others do. Those who find VJ in the early stages (whatever that means to you) are lucky.

i think two people can no each other in 6 months as well as another can know each other in 2 years. I truly believe that.

That being said, you should definitely have another long visit and then file for spouse visa. It's the only way now!

Good luck to you!!!!

6 months would most likely have produced a different result.
