A maiden name would imply you are married, so that does not apply to you.

Thanks, however, I'm divorced, so my current last name isn't my original last name from birth, so I guess that's why I'm confused if this applies to me

I'm a female USC petitioner, I know it's simple, but I have a question on the DS-160...........on the question

Fiancé/Fiancée's Full Name (include Maiden Name)

do I just put my maiden name in parentheses?   Guess I'm overthinking it lol

See my PM.

The most prudent way to process your application is to first have your passport in your current legal name. Passports never use "maiden" names in parentheses' hence you wouldn't use them for any of the documents that you would submit during this process because you are "suppose' to be SINGLE as required by the K-1 definition.

My case has arrived to the Embassy last Monday but CEAC still shows in transit.... How long does it normally takes for them to change the status? I figured that it was Thanksgiving but it has been a week now...

We have seen the normal process take anywhere from one to two weeks and some other embassies much long, sometimes a month.

@Greenbaum hello I got this from friend who processed in 2016 'the requirement for the US Embassy Iraq  regarding the Fiance Visa ( is that pack 3 or 4 ?) No the embassy will send you a P3 once they receive your case file.

It seems I wont be able to submit the DS-160, or book interview at the Embassy till they ask me to do so (can you enlighten me please - maybe I am wrong?) The DS-160 can be filled out at any time. Now or later but must be completed by the interview. Print off a couple of copies of the confirmation page with the barcode as you will need one for the interview.  Also they only accept cash for the Visa on the day of interview! here I have attached the pdf file as you request... Please advise me what should I do? Thank you in advance. Pay the visa fee in cash on the day of the interview.

P.S.

if the Visa journey website can add Iraq , US Embassy Baghdad to the list will be great too. You'll need to contact a MOD for that to be done.

Thanks in advance .

oops the size of the pdf file wont let me upload here ??? See my PM for instructions.

Good morning VJ family,

Would it be too soon to email the consulate about my case if it has been in transit for 13 days now? I've notice that some cases for Ghana embassy being received in less than a week. Also is there any P3 information floating around? If so  can someone send a link? Thanks in advance

Does anyone have specific information about what happens with the 134 documents at the embassy? What is their process and security? Can a cosponsor send documents directly to the embassy? Asking for the reassurance of my cosponsor in a fiance visa case. Thank you in advance for any advisement.

Mine also arrived in Hong Kong on 11/19 and our status just changed to "Ready" a couple hours ago. So they're working on it.
