Hello Greenbaum,

We're in the same, how is in the case for Peru? Do we need to wait to have packet 3?

do we have to send some documentation to the embassy before the interview?

And after we can do this step, and NVC notify they are sending the papers to my embassy, when is a good time for scheduling the interview?

Thanks for your help

I don't have a Packet 3 letter that has all the requirements for your upcoming interview but what I have I will share below. Once you get in touch with your Embassy and they send you the P3 letter with all the requirements if would be so kind and share a copy with me then I can use it to help others in the future. Thanks.

Now a days it's most uncommon to hear that a case has been sent to an embassy as a single case. Most are bulk wrapped for shipment and sent out every other week. Next shipment is scheduled to leave NVC on 11/27&28. Until CEAC shows in transit, I am sure that it is sitting waiting for the shipment to be released on the dates I gave you.

Well, here is what you do next. DON'T ask some one from German, Norway or Spain what you should do next. I never can understand that logic. Sub-forums are set up just for that reason to answer Embassy specific questions. What's done in Spain is not necessary what will take place in the UK. Believe I see this all the time so I am not just calling you out but others as well.

Read this information and pay attention to the link for the sub-forum for the UK. Every single question can be answer with the links and or through the S-F.

London sub-forum on VJ

There are experts over in the sub-forum for your country located here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/  This is where others from your country who are processing or those who have completed their interview and they can guide you on their experience. A TON of information and help there.

Thanks you for all your advice and help! I followed it and found a thread with members who are just waiting on their passports to be sent back t othem from london, but i just wanted to clarify someone told me from experience that as soon as they recieved their case number they simply screenshotted the ceac website for proof for the medical exam and they went ahead and sceduled their medical before the case had even arrived at the embassy to speed things up on their end- id like to do that too but want to make sure its not a mistake - does it not matter that your case hasnt arrived at the embassy when youve had your medical and they sent it to the embassy who dont even have your application yet?

Also it says "at nvc" on the website but it proves that the case number is real is that fine?

Thanks!

The medical is only worried about getting a piece of paper that has the case number on it. So some embassies/medical clinics will allow this practice and others won't. I believe that Knightsbridge is one that will allow. I'll add a member who just completed the process there in the UK that can verify this for us. What say you @BJ & Christine? Can he do this for Knightsbridge?

Okay thanks and the bigger question is - would it be a problem if, theoretically speaking , by the time i attend my medical and they send the results to the embassy- if the embassy hasnt recieved our case from nvc yet - would that be an issue , or did you guys just schedule the medical as soon as you recieved the case number- sorry for all the questions!

My fiancé had his medical today. They gave him a CD with his chest X-ray on it. I guess they forward the results to the embassy directly. Everything else is ready for the P3. All papers together. DS-160 complete (he just has to scan the stupid photo and submit). So just waiting on P3 and hope he can send it back same day. Case has been “ready” at embassy since 11/15. So ready to get this over with!

Hello,

We received our case number the same day as you and booked our medical on the same day. We completed the DS-160 and booked medical yesterday. There are some available at  knightsbridge for first week of December!

So our lawyer said that we should wait for the consulate to send us instructiobs before scheduling the medical exam, but i have seen cases where people said they just went ahead with it- and i thought the instructions were the p3 for the interview?

The instructions are the P3 and if followed you'll be ready for your interview. My fees are nominal compared to you Lawyer.

Do you have the information needed for the UK?

U need letter from embassy or email with ur case number on it.

Normally it takes 2 weeks to get nvc number. Once u have nvc number it can be 1 to 3 weeks before embassy receives the case.

It wont be a issue.

my fiancé did medical on the 15th and interview on 16th. Just to save a trip down to London. Still waiting for actual approval. Even tho was told everything looks good at interview. Pending medical results. Which looked good. Just more waiting on our part..
