Has been SoCal cold (highs under 2*2*2*2*2*2 degrees F) for a couple of weeks. Rained on the day of the Holiday Bowl, traditional day of rain in San Diego so outsiders don't learn what weather is normally like here.

Rain. Cold, nasty, and wet. It's depressing weather.  If it wasn't for the dog, I wouldn't stick my nose out there at all. She hates it, and strongly believes misery loves company. That would be me :D

I have been watching buying and selling on hulu.  I think my husband is in for a serious shock when we eventually decide to sell this house.

a) we have a lot of junk 

b) we have a lot of clutter since there isn't much storage here

c) we would have to empty half this house to stage it well. 

d) moving across the country is a lot more work

e) buying a house across the country is a lot of work!

 

I'm horrible about decluttering.  I'm good at storing things, but horrible about getting rid of stuff unless it's small enough for a garbage bag.

Kon Mari.  Life changing.

 

All I have left is Christmas decorations for round 2.  The result of this has been clean and mostly empty closets, 25+ plastic storage totes gone, dumpster of stuff thrown out, and many car loads of donations. I've also sold a bunch of stuff too.

Eat the elephant a bite at a time, more manageable Niki-B. ma'am.

Pick one table (no matter how small), box of stuff, or corner of a room, and deal only with it, si Niki-B. ma'am.

Pretend that the one target is all that there is, si ma'am.

Then, after a break of an hour or a day or whatever, go to another target completely of your choice, si ma'am.
