Hello,

I finally have my Sydney case number and it's in transit to Sydney.

Is it too soon to start filling out the DS-160 online? Should I wait for the Sydney embassy to contact me and get my package?

Cheers

Alice

That's great news! Fill the form out now and gather paperwork for medical and interview. Once case is "ready" you can submit the form, make the visa fee payment, then use those confirmation #s to schedule your medical and interview. Some cases can be ready in just a day or two so I wouldn't wait if I were you!!

It did take a little longer for my case to be ready (7 days since the weekend and embassy holiday came in between), but I was able to submit the DS-160 form, make the visa fee payment and schedule interview and medical since appointments were available at the time all while our case was in transit.

Hey everyone. Fiancee has her interview Thursday so wish us luck! 2 more days. We have everything else done and all documents except for proof of visa payment. When we scheduled the interview the CGI website made us pay before we could even schedule and sent us a generic email confirming payment saying we could schedule which my fiancee printed and is bringing with her. I  hope that's the proof they are referring to.

That’s great! Glad we are moving forward. I don’t know how it works without an NOA2 though. I don’t know if the embassy will send another one with my packet.

Did you call uscis to ask about your approval? Even hardcopy you didn’t receive any? I’m worried they will send back your paper to uscis for approval.. hopefully that won’t happen..

Yes. It’s already “in transit” to the embassy and I’ve been waiting for NOA2 all this time. Website doesn’t say approved and tie 1 didn’t even tell me anything about approval.
