Consulate Review: Lebanon
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 24, 2018
Embassy Review : My fiancé's appointment was set for 10am. He went in at 8:30, they said to come back at 9:30am but they let him in anyway right away.

He had to show his passport at the first counter, then DS-160 confirmation at the other counter. They asked for his interview appointment email confirmation and a photocopy of his passport and said this was required. This was not shown in the required documents in the packet so make sure you bring them!!

He was given a checklist of required documents so he can order them properly. His appointment came last so he went in for his interview at 11:30am. It lasted exactly 10 minutes. The lady consular was very nice. He had to first give his pledge and got his fingerprints taken. He was asked several questions, but they were easy for the most part. He said there was another immigration desk clerk who asked him more detailed questions (e.g. where my dad works, what he does etc...) Questions he was asked by the consular officer:
How did you meet your fiancé?
When did you first meet her?
When did you do the engagement?
When was the last time you saw her?
When was she born? When were you born?
What does your fiancé's father do? Where does he live?
Where was your fiancé born?
What do you do for a living?
Did you do Kateb Kitab (Islamic Marriage)? (we didn't and plan to do so after his arrival in the US).
When will you get married?

She asked for pictures but just saw 2 of them.
She then said everything is good so congratulations, you are approved! She told him that he will get a text once his passport is ready for pickup.

Such a relief!!! :D
