My fiance called them at 8 am, they asked him all the case data and promised to call him back with information about RFE. After 2 hours they called him back and explained, that copy of his Divorce Certificate (he was previously married and divorced) missed the judge's signature. They  told that is only one thing that hold approval of our case.

That’s awesome!! Easy fix and approval soon!!!

Thank you. We now know they will discuss the RFE on the phone as well as fax a copy. Thanks for getting back to us.

Be sure to follow the instructions very closely. We recently had someone who was asked to sign the RFE when they returned it and the neglected to follow that instructions and their case was declined. Don't make the same mistake.

So here's my experience after making a few calls today:

1. Called and ignored all prompts - got transferred to the Spanish speaking queue and got someone (who initially spoke in Spanish) who was able to tell me that my case was approved yesterday (8/6) and that the approval notice was printed today. (Note that this occurred without the representative transferring me at all.)

2. Called and entered the English queue - got someone who told me my case was still in a "received" state and pending, and the "normal processing times" spiel.

3. Called and entered the English queue - got someone who was willing to transfer me to Tier 2. Spoke to Tier 2 and was provided the same info that the Spanish speaking representative gave me (approved 8/6, approval notice just printed).

By the way, at the time of this writing... both the old and new site still show the case as "received", not "approved."

I don't usually comment about something I am confused about, but your post here today is confusing to me. You called, and I am just supposing, that you got the answer you initially called for on the first call. So, if that was the case why did you call back 2 more times only to get similar response? I'm confused. Am I missing something?

RE: I-129F Case

USCIS records confirm that the referenced case is pending background check clearance. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely manner while also ensuring public safety and national security. A small percentage of applications and petitions have unresolved background check issues that temporarily delay adjudication. Although USCIS makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, USCIS is unable to speculate when the background check will be completed.

If a background check reveals an issue that may impact an applicant’s eligibility for the requested immigration benefit, further inquiry is needed. The inquiry may include an additional interview and/or contact with another agency for updates or more comprehensive information. Upon gathering and assessing all available information, USCIS will adjudicate the application as quickly as possible.

USCIS realizes that the constituent may be frustrated by the progress of their case. However, the agency must balance individual inconvenience against broader issues of public safety and national security.

I know CR1 team will say CR1 is more powerful than K1. @Greenbaum, I'm fully aware that I can't work until EAD is in hand which may take 4-6 months. Our plan is we'll file AOS ASAP but we didn't know I would get an offer too soon. I guess I will just let my new employer know that my employment has to be "paused" once I move there if they still want to hire me now. Thanks!

Now you know even though you knew before that you can't work till you get your EAD. Since you know, then I guess you know. But do you know why the CR-1 "is more powerful?" Because I don't know but you say the CR-1 team says so but I have never heard of a CR1 team.  Can you explain please?

Do you know if we need to sign and date every page that we send in with the RFE, just the actual pages of the RFE or just sign at the designated space?

Same dates here. Jan 12(in the old site) is actually the date with the most cases filed in January based on the scans before.

The only email I’ve gotten was from when I updated my address. I was told to call and make inquiry by August 10th if there is no update.
