I'm working with people all over the country every day. This is 2018, computers, telecommunication, scanners, printers, the internet all exist.

Neither do I, nor am I an illegal immigrant, yet here we are with 20 months wait time, triple the amount of pending applications just in Texas* because he's directed USCIS/ICE to chase bogeymen rather than doing their job.

You know what, why not? I've done job interviews via Skype. And you can see a doctor via skype-like apps.

It's not that it can't be done, it's that it probably can't be done by USCIS during our lifetimes.  Based on the long, glitchy history of putting the N400 online, I'm not holding my breath.

The immigration process is very frustrating for everyone who uses it. Some countries kept changing the rules and applied new rules are retrospectively (e.g UK). In all situations some people win and others lose.

 

It took my aunt 30 years to get citizenship in South Africa! She was a legal immigrant as she came in with a work permit which got extended every year as the employer wanted to keep her. The application was never rejected - it just took 30 years to process!!

 

As for me, I love the USA with all its warts and thorns and the freedom of speech that allows all these polar points of view from both POTUS and new immigrants alike.

 

It will take 13 months for my N400 to be processed (or so it says on the website) and I will wait. No, its not desirable and yes, it will mess up a few things in my life. But that's the immigration game we all have to play.

Actually that would be a good start and you just proved Ben&Zian's point. His actual tweets aren't reported without changing/deleting a word or two.

Why everyone started being overly sensitive these days is beyond me. It's been almost 2 years, get over it already people. You still have over 6 more great years of President Trump and the American agenda. You can always dispute what that would be or means exactly; but you should be happy someone is in office who does think America first, not "the rest of the world first". My husband listens and sees all this, he supports it all fully. It makes sense he says. So not all 'immigrants' are afraid, offended, feel hopeless, ect...A lot actually approve fully of the President's mission.

Still didn't prove anything about the subject matter of which people were supposed to prove to us. Trying to bring in some other messages to distract from the fact that it couldn't be proven says enough for the rest of us who don't listen to the hysteria.
