There is no "normal" these days. Some go in a few days some later and others much later. There is one who has been waiting 2 months. This is a process that takes patience.

VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in the Colombian and they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa

from their personal experience. Link: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-south-america/

Get the US Embassy Colombian K1 Embassy Letter (EL) at  https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7hB3bl9Snfkb0NiMVFUd2JsVjA/view  as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use the EL as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview. If it is not on the Embassy letter, it probably is not needed.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for your country so that you are up to speed.  http://bogota.usembassy.gov/

One last place to check for information would be the VJ Wiki found here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Special:AllPages and here http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Colombia&cty=Bogota

Good luck and God's speed.

Hi, question so do i have to wait for the welcome letter prior to pay for the k1 visa, the NVC stated all they are waiting is to send the packet to the embassy and be on the lookout for the letter for the next steps.  Anyone else going through this?

I'm not entirely sure what you said but I think you were looking for the P3 for Colombia. You should visit the VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in the Colombian and they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa from their personal experience. Link:

Look in the instructions at your Embassy or in the Embassy's P3 letter. The instructions are there I believe.

Can you help @NicholasS? He has asked some questions in Spanish and I am not sure if I answered them for him. I don't know Spanish but what I though what he was looking for I posted both in English and then I used Google translator to give the same information in Spanish. Thanks.

Congratulations.

Unfortunately I don't have a true Packet 3 letter from your Embassy but what I do have I'll share with you.

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Chile&cty=Santiago This line is a little old from 2017 and should be used with caution.

https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-cl/iv This is the Embassy's website with all the information for Chile. You'll need to do a little exploring to find your answers.

Also I have this https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/SNT-Santiago.pdf

You should be over in the sub-forum for your area where you can ask some of the others who are applying and also there are some experts that can answer your questions.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-south-america/

I have this so maybe you can share it with other people from Chile in the future.

No. This is for your current K1 petition. You would fill in your beneficiary's name and their relationship would be Fiancé or Fiancée.

Hi everyone! I have a couple of questions.

Received our NOA2 on June 22😁

We are through the London embassy.

1) do we need an updated letter of intent to marry?

2) do I need a letter from my employer stating my job,  length,  pay,  etc.? I have been there 5 years and have tax transcripts, W2's and check stubs to verify my employment. We went through Rapid Visa and they are suggesting that,  but I'm thinking that everything else I have should be sufficient...

3) do we need divorce decrees? We sent them with our original petition and it's my understanding that the embassy will already have all that info?

4) can we schedule the medical and interview as soon as we get our case number? Or do we have to wait for instructions from the embassy?

Thanks so much for any help you can give!

… right? Yes. Only if someone has received a visa previously from the one you are filling now. If there hasn't been another visa petition on your behalf then enter "None".

Here is the information for the UK process. I believe all your questions will be answered there within. If not return here and we will continue to help.

https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/tourism-visitor/required-documents/

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=United Kingdom&cty=London

First of all, if you haven’t already done so, make sure you complete your DS-160 and request your police certificate.  Now that you have your case number, you can call Knightsbridge to schedule your medical exam.  You’ll need to give them your case number when you schedule your appointment.  Once you have your exam scheduled, DS-160 completed and have everything else that you need for your interview, complete the Notification of Applicant Readiness Form and when your NVC case status changes to “In-transit” you can go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv to create an account and schedule an interview.  Make sure that you allow at least 5 working days between the date of your medical exam and the date of your interview or risk the results from the exam not arriving in time.  For your interview go here https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/  or call here 442074867822

U.S. Embassy London is pleased to inform you that we have received an approved petition in support of your

fiancee) or K3/4 visa application. Please refer to our website at https://uk.usembassv.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/ for detailed instructions on preparing for your visa interview and scheduling the appointment.

In accordance with 9 FAM 41.81 PN3.2, please find:

•        One copy of the petitioner's approved Form I- 129F, together with any criminal background information (including information on protection orders) that USCIS has gathered on the petitioner and any information that USC1S has provided regarding prior Form 1-129F filings by the petitioner.

•        One copy of USCIS's pamphlet, "Information on the Legal Rights Available to Immigrant Victims of Domestic Violence in the United States and Facts about Immigrating on a Marriage-Based Visa.

Issuance of a K visa is not guaranteed. A Consular Officer will evaluate your case and make a final determination

You are advised not to make any travel plans until you receive your visa.

Should you need to communicate with the Embassy regarding your case, please provide your case number exactly as

it is listed below.

Here is your P3 letter. I believe all your answers will be covered within that document. If you need additional help please return here and ask.

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/K1/LGS_Lagos.pdf

Also, many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Just use the date from the new website. The date really doesn't matter but if you should need, use the most current date that USCIS is using and that is derived from the new website.

I emailed the Embassy in Belgrade asking if I could recieve instructions on their stage of the process (hoping they would maybe send me the packet 3 checklist) but they just replied with saying that I should recieve something from them once my petition reaches them

@Greenbaum  do you know if there is a checklist for Belgrade embassy here on VJ,  like the one you sent saeric for the embassy in Lagos?
