I believe, and someone please correct me if I'm mistaken, as soon as you get the NVC case number or whatever its called you can schedule your interview.

No. It depends on what the process of your country's embassy is. Each embassy has it's own process that you must follow.

How far along can you schedule the interview ? What is the latest ? Reason I ask is to be able to gather the required money. My mother had surgery and I had to help her with her bills so ate my savings

I'm sorry to hear of your mother's illness. I hope she is comfortable and recovering with out additional problems. Once you receive your NOA2 that good for a year. So your interview must take place within that year, otherwise you will have to start over.

Yes an interview can be schedule once you have the case number BUT it is Embassy specific when that occurs and how it occurs. Some Embassy's are set up that once you have the CN then you pay the fee and then go online and schedule the appointment. Others require you to wait for the instruction letter P3 complete all the steps and then email your findings back to the Embassy at which time they will review your documents and if satisfied they will schedule an appointment. So it's not a cut and dry answer.  Do you have instructions for your Embassy?

Is there anybody here who file in November and still waiting for Noa2 like me. I am November 14

Sorry to hear the wait, that's painful.... Did you submit and inquiry and see what they say? I think many of the ones taking longer are due to additional background checks.

I wish you luck and hope you will have an answer soon!

November 14th old site, November 16 new site, still waiting. Sent two inquiries, both responded with "still adjuticating, waiting on security checks"

Looks like many of us November 14ths got screwed and we're now in limbo. I guess it doesn't feel so bad to know there are several of us.

Honestly, I try not to think about it. I will just hope that I get the approval by atleast November and continue to make inquiries every 3 weeks. I hope that whatever the hell they're doing it will be finished by that time. It's brutal to think there are November and December beneficiaries about to make their point of entry in America and we can't even get past step 1 yet.

My thoughts are with those still waiting for their NOA2.

My fiance and I had our interview on July 9th. We are waiting for the visa to be processed.

We provided all requested documents. My fiancé has twins. Although we've expressed they are not expected to follow…we were asked to provide their birth certificates to be processed (the NVC creates cases for children of the beneficiary).

In hindsight, I can see why the consulate would want their info…in case something happens to the mother.

I was quite frustrated because I felt like we should have been notified to have the birth certificates for the children whether they plan to follow or not. We would have had the documents at the interview and would not have been delayed in the having the visa processed.

Good news, is we are approved…documents were received for processing. The CEAC site shows that the case has been updated twice last week.

We're praying for the issued visa this week.

I extended my stay a whole week hoping he'd be able to travel with me. Unfortunately, that did not happen.

God willing…we will be blessed with the visa this week. In God's time….we are thankful to be able to receive the visa.
