Interview scheduled (July 10th).  CFO next week.  Medical the week after that.  Things really moving now!

I just got my NVC Case# today. Did you wait for your status to be "Ready" until scheduling interview or did you just schedule it as soon as your got your case#? I know you got your case# this week which is why i'm asking.

Congratulations to both of you!!! My fiance is also in the Philippines and we are about two weeks behind your NOA2 date June 1st.

We are trying to estimate the timing of our wedding in Colorado!

My question is how booked up are the interviews in the Philippines?

Are they booked up one month from today?

From what my fiancee saw today and what her friend had from a few months ago, it seems like usually a month out is what they have open.  There is the possibility of moving up to a sooner date if someone cancels, I know some people check every day to see what has opened up.  But usually you'll be looking at around a month for openings.

The Embassy in Manila does not require a wait to schedule an interview, but every embassy is different on that.  Our case is still at NVC right now.

Did you fill out the DS-160 for her or did she do it herself?

She did it but I helped when she had questions.  Doesn't matter who fills it out as long as when you submitted it it's being done in the country where the interview will take place.

Just to clarify, if I fill it out for her and i'm in the states I can still submit it? Or when you say "it's being done in the country where the interview will take place," do you mean the computer she is actually filling it out on needs to be in that country, or rather just that country is selected when filling out the DS-160?

You can fill it out for her here, but then you need to save it and have her submit it in her country.

Case was received by NVC and case number generated late last night! 5/10 NOA2. :)

Congratulations, I'm just a step behind you on the Ireland train :) Let us know how it goes scheduling your interview in Dublin. My fiancé just scheduled his medical today for July 10th... hopefully we'll be able to schedule the actual interview not too far after that date.

I got my NVC case number a couple of weeks ago and status still shows "At NVC". What should I be doing to prepare? Can I submit the DS-160 right now or should I wait until it says ready? What other things can I do now? Sorry if this has been asked before but I've been reading conflicting information.

Will do, I hope it isn’t too far out for the interviews.

This may sounds silly, but do I need to call the NVC or can I just wait until I hear from my embassy?

I just feel feel like it’s better for my mental health to push it to the back of my mind, and every time I call and am told it’s not there, it feels like such a let down.

Do I need the case number ASAP or can I just wait for the embassy to contact me?

Each Embassy is different in how they contact you. You can wait if you want but plan for a wait of about 30 to 45 days from now to hear from them. Since I can't tell what Embassy you are using it's hard for me to answer your question.

HINT ---------> Not knowing what Embassy you are processing through prevents us from responding to many of your questions. If you look at the profile others here, they have a flag for their country so it makes it easy for us to reply.

So if you could help yourself out and complete your profile sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks
