I don't like seeing that.. I read on one of the forums that they recently went through a large lay off of employees at USCIS and I would hate to have this be the trends in order to start to "limit" applications from going through in a timely manner. I could be completely wrong but it is a bit unsettling when you see the trends from the past year or even 6 months

@JMCKNG Do you mind sharing which forum so we can read?  And oh yes... I think we got every possible delay available lol :jest:

That is FALSE information. They're not laying anyone off.

Is it possible that just like USCIS, the site shows at NVC when in reality it is in transit? Or does the NVC have a better track record of case status accuracy?

They are pretty good at reporting the status once it's approved both in transit and ready for interview.

Do you happen to know if it is possible to ask for an email instead of snail mail? I have to leave my present apartment on July 3rd and there is no way I can get to the mailbox after that..

Did you submit the form G-1145 Email Notification? Have you emailed USCIS. Have you visited the website for USCIS with your address change request? Do you have access to a computer to check CEAC on a regular basis? Then your going to be fine.

Ok so I'm panicking a bit, When the I-129F package was submitted I used my Fiances name but didn't include exactly the way it is in her passport (screw up I know) I used her name 'Mariangelica Osorio' but on her passport she has both her father and mothers last name 'Mariangelica Osorio Moreno'  ..... right now I am waiting for NVC to  mail the case to the embassy and have case number in hand ( Called NVC this morning) but they said they can not make any changes at the NVC level because they do not handle K1 petitions. They said it would be something that would have to be handled on an embassy level when it arrives in Rio

Does anyone have any experience in this and please tell me that this won't lead to having to start the process over again?

You won't be starting over. You'll need to fix it once you are at your interview. Every document you complete from this point on be sure to include the correct spelling and the whole name. You could call the Embassy once your file has been received and asked how you can make the correction.

Ahh patiently, I should say that in quotes "patiently" waiting for our NVC number, NOA2 was 5/25. I think once we have endured the waiting period for the NOA2 you would think your patience tolerance gets better but I feel as if it's the complete opposite with an end in site.. I am hoping for a mid July Interview for him fingers crossed

You'll be pushing for a mid July interview. It takes about a month for your file to arrive at NVC. Then about 2-4 weeks before they sign a case number. Then a week or two for it to get to your Embassy. Sorry. Don't want to be the barer of bad news. :(

I don't think it's a trend.  A few months back it was taking 2 months to get out of the NVC, then suddenly it was back to around 2 weeks.   You gotta remember that USCIS is part of Homeland Security whereas NVC/Embassies are part of the State Department.  Time frames at one stage really doesn't relate to another.  The way I see it, if they're waiting for large backlogs before they ship cases out, then they must be getting pretty full by now.  So we'll see.....

11/14/17 129F mailed

11/17/17 NOA1

05/14/18 NOA2

06/06/18 NVC received and case # assigned

06/12/18 left NVC

06/13/18 Manila Embassy received

06/13/18 CFO completed at Clark Pampanga

06/18-19/18 Medical exam

07/10/18 Interview - APPROVED!!
