The Rant Thread. Circa  2013.

Tell us your gripes, fears, hopes. (And we'll quickly put you down.)

Tell us your deepest, darkest desires. (We will return you to reality)

All are welcome -- chew the fat here, pass the time.

A brief history of this thread: it started off as a place for VJers to rant, vent, talk. It has evolved into an everyday friendly conversation.

THE RULES of the thread, from the undersigned.

1. We like each other here. So don't be a jerk..
2. No Facebook links.
3. This thread is not for debates, not for fighting.

4.. This is a conversation. Keep it light-hearted.
5.. If you see antagonists, just put them on ignore.
6. Many. If you think that your stinkiness don't stink, please stay out.
7. Not everyone on the planet is going to agree with you, so don't push issues.
8. Please don't push your political and religious beliefs here.
9. If you don't like the people here, please don't post here. VJ is full of other threads.

10. Please don't post anything that'll link anything to your identity. We've had problems in the ancestral threads.

11. Have a sense of humor, don't be such a stiff. Remember? humor?

Don't take anything personally, half of the stuff said here is just jive (In the case of T-Bone, it's 100% jive).

From SAT, the OP.

This thread is politically incorrect. Come in come in, rant away. Let us tell you how to suffer. Let us make fun of you..

OK, I gotta go workout shoulders.

Haven't been on the elliptical for like 8 days now.

The tonsillitis is gone, but I can't shake the cough...

Well I reached my target weight from being sick....

Bah My brains are exactly where they need to be to handle my life :P

I'm going to start working out again. Just bought some things to help and taking my food allergies and diet much more seriously. I start my detox tomorrow and will be going freaking nuts. So much I'm allergic too and so much I still eat but what it does to me is beyond what I should be putting up with.

I should be on here with some major mood swings soon enough!

Trudi, I am dim, and cannot work out how to quote between threads.

I hope it's a blip too, he has so many messed up medical issues, any one of them could account for it. His transplant team didn't seem very excited by it, and the head Doc there is excellent.

Boy oh boy, do I wish I had a mute switch for the Husband :D I wouldn't think it would be any fun at all to need the implant, but this might just be classed as an advantage!

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I know it's horrible and because I'm allergic to the foods I still eat it's screams at me.

I honestly think it's an advantage (these days anyway as technology has made huge advances), I can hear pretty well with it and get to mute anything I don't want to listen to - and no one can know for sure if I've got them on mute 😁

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and hoping for good news, you are due some when it comes to health :)

I think I'm just weird, I rarely get hungry, mildly peckish but not starving I could eat a horse hungry

I do graze though and mostly on junk :(

I only get hungry when I’m eating less than maintenance.   It is like I feel my fat being eaten all over, I ache.

I’m quelling it now with some blackberries whilst I repair Carhartts for the billionth time. The fabric where my husband grabs to hike them up just needs to be thicker or something.

random question: Have any of you ever used olive oil on your scalp?  I've been suffering with a dry scalp since we moved inland and none of the dandruff shampoos help (because it is dryness and not dandruff).  It has been itching me like crazy lately and scratching only leads to flakey horrors in my hair. :(
