After they receive the case.

I see you're still waiting for a case number 2 months after approval 😔. Hope you get yours soon!

Yh, I'm still waiting. I'm budgeting another month more. It sucks but that's the nature of the beast called US immigration. Patience, patience, patience are your friends. Goodluck with the rest of your journey.

How long did anyone that got a RFE have to wait before an reply/update ?

They said they sent RFE to my wife’s address but she never received it. Asked for an address change, completed and yet she didn’t receive any package in the post. I am livid but one can’t do much than to inquiry and hope 🙏🏾

I have experienced this recently and finally I had USCIS faxed the copy of my RFE to me. I will mail the requested documents back to them today and hopefully will get the approval soon. This stupid RFE has delayed my case for over a month. Sigh...

Hello,

We just got our approval letter in the mail yesterday, 02/02/19!

Our Priority date for NOA1 was 04/19/18

Our approval is dated 01/29/19.

Service center - Nebraska

I'm in Kentucky, husband in Canada.

There was no update on either website, no app update, no email.  Called USCIS twice - both reps replied 'just wait'.  Submitted a case out of processing time request, contacted senator - FINALLY got approval.

Good luck everyone!

Hey, im kind of in the same boat. my PD was May 10th, 2018.  The case Inquiry date is now may 11th, but i still haven't received any correspondence. So i called USCIS, and they didn't want to submit a out of normal processing request. I was stubborn and they guy finally submitted a out of normal processing request for me and gave me a confirmation code; however, i never received a confirmation email. so im just a little worried if he actually submitted a request. Any ways, how did you go about contacting the senator, and what was he/she able to do for you?

I had a similar experience  and the Tier 2 rep was unfortunately rude to me . He lied to me and said he submitted a SR on my behalf when all actuality he only submitted a filing question which showed up on my timeline some hours later . In the end I had to submit my 2nd one by myself and that was recently responded to with another generated email to wait 60 days however I received insight from a nice and informative Tier 2 rep whom informed me teams are split up in USCIS to delegate the work load . One team answers SR without seeing an internal information from any officer other than approval or RFE . Even though I received a generated email , my case was recently assigned to an officer February 8th. I hope my personal experience gave you better insight and maybe try submitting your SR on your own to avoid delay .

I submitted 3 inquiries to two of my senators and house of rep however I spaced out when I reached out to each to avoid receiving duplicate answers during the same timeframe . One senator I received a response and a follow up letter via postal email , one wasn’t helpful and the HOR was submitted recently and pending response. Google ( Contact your Senator ) senate.gov , you’ll have to submit a privacy form to each office before a USCIS inquiry can be submit on your behalf .

Good luck

I would suggest to fill inquiry on your own, it’s pretty easy. Usually uscis answer is the same - wait another 60 days. On our case - we had to wait around 10 days after we filed inquiry and got approved. We also contacted the senator, he seemed eager to help, but I’m not sure if he did. Although when we called uscis to check on our case, tier2 mentioned that the senator actually  got in touch with them, we just need to wait for an answer.

Good luck!

I have finally received an update on my case today 02/24 stating the received my RFE information on 02/08.

I wonder why they take so long to update your case about something they received 2 weeks ago, lol.

We had our interview on 1/29/2019 but got a soft/temporary denial (221(g))  for my 2017 Tax transcript.  I brought my 2017 W2s and full 1040 and everything else which was accepted by the Department of state but evidently the rules changed between Documentarily Qualified and the interview, per a representative at NVC and the woman at the 221g window at the Manila embassy.  Word to the wise, bring your IRS TAX TRANSCRIPT WITH YOU TO THE INTERVIEW!  It took me a week to get my transcript as I had submitted it with a typo on the address in 2017, I had to call to get it faxed to me, then when I saw that my personal info was masked I went in to the local IRS office to get a copy with my info unmasked.  Sent it to the embassy on 2/07/2019 and was in AP until last night when the status switched to ISSUED!!! Wahoo so ready to be together with my wife.  This is a long stressful journey but worth it.  Good luck to everyone else still waiting on their Visa, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I don’t know if I should be worried right now because uscis are yet to get back to us. My wife would be putting a call through to uscis tomorrow to find out what’s causing the delay because there has been no update on our case since 27/11/2018. My PD was 04/02/2018. Received RFE notice but it wasn’t delivered, we had to change address and yet still nothing. At this point I am frustrated but at the same time I have to keep a glimmer of hope because I believe in the saying ‘good things come to those who wait’ but my patience seem to be wearing thin now. Hopefully I would get some feed back from my wife tomorrow regarding the phone call.

Our original RFE issued in early Jan was also lost so we requested for an address change on Jan 25. USCIS confirmed us the address change was completed on Jan 31 and the duplicated RFE was mailed on the same day.

Maybe you should send a inquiry to USCIS using the following link, choose the option of “did not receive notice by mail”:

Good Luck!
