We are on week 5, still no updates. It can take up to 8 weeks to receive a case number:) congratulations by the way!

Today I checked my status online (for the 10,000th time lol), and our petition was APPROVED.        NOA1: April 10 Texas Service Center   My spouse is from India.

I definitely don’t know the timeline to when NVC assigns a new case number. 5 weeks seem to be excessive or maybe it takes 1-2 months to have a case number. Well atleast we have been able to survive the initial long wait. It is not long now.

Mine was approved 1/3 and received by NVC 2/8. I am still waiting for a case number. I'm hearing it takes up to 8 weeks after the NVC receives the case.

My status online is still showing ‘Case Received’ and the email didn’t say the day my i130 was approved but I’ve contacted NVC to ask when USCIS approved my i130 petition or is there other way I could find out the date it was approved?

call USCIS, wait for the email or try the new website to check your status.

it will because that is the new website, y'all was on the old one. they normal update the new one first and then the old one if they feel like doing that.

Have you received the approval notice in mail yet? If so, the notice date on the letter is the approval date.

I received my NVC case yesterday. April filler. Case was approved on January and sent to NVC on January 28th. So about 7 weeks. Hang tight...

We share same date. My case was approved and was sent to NVC in the email notice but we are yet to receive the notice in mail. I believe it won’t be long now after the long wait. Please keep me updated as to how case progresses while I do you the honours too. May we have a cause for celebration so we can be with our significant other half in due time.
