You will have to bring ALL of the ORIGINALS to the interview, including Original copy of police certificate. Copy is only good to be uploaded to CEAC, thatโ€™s about it.ย

I definitely will, thank you so much.

I had previously come on a K1 visa but never married the petitioner, even though have spent 4 years in the US with him. I just explained the situation, COย asked few more questions about him and that was it. I also said that I was too young to understand the consequences of my overstay at that time. I was 20 years old when I came here on K1

Thanks for the reply.ย  I came with a tourist visa and I was 19ย

Hi!Hope you get your approval soon! And please do share afterwards what you used on your RFE.ย I will soon be applying for my husbandโ€™s waiver and will be needing ideas.ย

In my RFE I was asked for proof of hardship in separation scenario - more evidence of emotional/psych hardship. They said that statements in psychol. report didn't raise to the level of the extreme. So we submitted a mental health evaluation from a doctor specialist (about 1 page statement) about how my husband feels due to threat and fear of separation and that his prognosis will be worse without my support (some family doctors could do this kind of basic eval.) The doctor recommended him some medication and we included receipts & info sheet. Also, we sent 3 new letters from friends talking about the devastating impact of separation; latest photos, trips together, DOS travel advisory about crime against foreigners, language barrier (if my husband would travel to visit me) and job loss due to the need to travel to visit me often and having limited vacation days; financial burden due to high cots of airfare (we incl. a screenshot or airfare). Again, we have no kids, no debt, no other financial hardship.

I found this link with some samples (5th or 6th letter)

Congratulations!!! Can you let us know once you get your appointment for the interview, to see how long it takes after your approvalย please, thanks!ย

I'm back after so long.ย  Thanks man.ย  How did your application go?ย  Okay, so we got our waiver approval last quarter of 2018, but my attorney did not submit application to NVC until Jan of 2019 and we got NOR from NVS 2/26/19 that application is received and complete and that we were to wait for the interview date which took forever and until just yesterday 1/3/20, for again 11 months lol, we finally got NOTICE FOR INTERVIEW which is set on 2/12/20 at CIUDAD JUAREZ.ย ย Now our question is everybody is saying that he needs to get biometrics 1st at least 1 day before the said interview, so we don't know how to schedule for it.ย  Do you know how to do it?ย  It did not say in the notice letter that we needed to do Biometrics prior to the said interview.ย  We were told that the consul won't interview us without that biometrics first.ย  Any info on this one will be highly appreciated guys.ย  Thanksss...ย  Patience is indeed a key.ย  We feel like we're nearing there to the end of the road!!!

Your lawyer should set both your medical and biometrics appointments for you. Most people do their medical two days before their appointment and their biometrics a day before their appointment. If you can do your medical sooner thatโ€™s fine just know itโ€™s only good for 6 months and your passport has to be good for at least six months past your interview date as well.ย

So my husband went thru this process last January. And we were told that medical and biometrics had to be done at least 2 days prior. And your lawyer should schedule your biometrics, and you should make an appointment for the medical. They have a few different facilities to choose from. And there will be a wait. And have some form of payment to cover your medical and vaccinations. And always have your passport with you too.ย  It's better to do the interview in English, I have heard they like that. And be honest because they have everything right in front of them that you submitted for your case. Good luck.ย
