That's awesome news! Congrats! Please let us know how many weeks it will take to close your case w/NVC🤔. Thank you in advance!

I think my case has closed, today I tried to log in and the page says at NVC and I couldn't see much. If it has it will be two weeks since I submitted everything on November 24th.

My wife will be eligible exactly on 06/01/2022 -- 1.5 years later for her citizenship.
After her application it will take an other 8-12 months to finalize.
Maybe 4-6 months more for my application..
So, total; 3 + years and I've already been waiting 4 years. and who knows how many times processing times will increase...
I know in the end I will get this sh.t but it's frustrating and sucking my life.. getting old to move on.. you know..
there is no answer from my RFe yet.. still waiting FYI..

Wow, I understand how it is to wait that long. It's almost the same as I since my husband still has two years to go. Your turn will soon come. This process requires a lot of patience 'cause every step has a waiting period.  Now I have to wait for the interview assignment. At the end we will all archive our goals as you mentioned.

Based on what I've read on FB, if it shows "at NVC" it means it's still in process. I saw ppl getting email when the case is closed; I hope it will happen soon for you!

Hello everyone, I just wanted to share what I have recently read about the drug test at medical exam for Visa interview. People who like to eat poppy seeds or hemp (not to mention using cannabis) might fail the drug test. Poppy seeds are widely used in foods in my country and I am glad I found this info right in time😯.

Hi, I came back from Peru last Tuesday after a 40 day stay. My interview was on Nov 6, and I had a little hiccup because there was a mistake on DS260 which my embassy acknowledged me by sending an email prior to interview but I did not have access to it as my email server didn’t recognize me because I was on a different IP address. So while on my interview, before getting to consul’s window, I was told that there was a mistake and my choices were either to fix it the same day (they gave me 1 hr) for which I had to exit the embassy get my phone and contact my lawyer here on the states to fix the problem, or my other choice, to get another appointment date. I decided on first choice, and thankfully my lawyer fix the mistake within 5 mins. I enter embassy at 7:30 and exit at 11:30, I was approved!!!.

Congratulations and thank you for updating us! I keep hearing about  mistakes on DS-260 and it's frustrating and scary that someone who knows our info much less than we ourselves is entering wrong information on the form! Like we didn't have enough stress already. What was that mistake about? Was it misspelling or something else? My lawyer already charged me for NVC but I am planning to fill up DS-260 myself. I will go over the sample DS-260 and will ask her about the questions I am not sure how to answer prior to filling up the form.

The mistake was my marital status. I’m divorced but when I was giving a print out of DS260, there was either single or married and asked my lawyer and she said to mark single, then I double check online and there was no option for divorced. So I assume it was correct. While in Peru, as I mention, embassy wanted to correct this mistake and send me an email prior to interview but I didn’t have access to my email so I didn’t know until my actual appointment  day. I was glad they gave a chance to fix right the same day.
