My fiance had her interview two weeks ago (April 3rd), and we still have not received an approval.  I even emailed the Embassy and asked if they needed any additional information, but they replied that they did not need anything.  So we waiting again.  :(

Thanks, after waiting this long what’s another month ! I’ll look forward to hearing about your approval soon, and will share with you when we are too.

Hi Tamara. I have a few questions. Did you do the medical exam?   Can you please tell me how much was the total cost and if you pay the gonorrea test in dólar? Did you legalize the birth certificate? I am so confused we are in the same stage than you.  Thanks in advance.

I did. I went to Doctora Grillo.

the whole exam cost $5000 (pesos) and you cant pay in dollar. everything in pesos. and cash.

I brought in my original birth certificate, not sure if its legalized but its the original one from when i was born, i believe it comes legalized.  but thats not for the medical, only for the interview documents.

Mine's is too, although technically it'll be happening tomorrow night New York time.  (Perhaps the one and only advantage of our ludicrous time difference, that I don't have to wait as long?)

I'm coping by keeping busy, cleaning my apartment, getting lost in books, baking cookies, and writing in my journal.

We're so, so, so close.  Hang in there.  Best of luck to us all.  (L)
