Hi everyone.  We finally received the RFE in the mail today.  It is asking for proof that we’ve met in person and suggests sending in items we already sent in before.  We already sent in our travel itineraries, plenty of Facebook photographs which were “stamped” with our names and dates, passport photos, and my fiancé’s entire entry log to the US.  The RFE even acknowledges that we’ve sent that in but is requesting even more evidence and then goes on to suggest that we send in the stuff we already sent in.  🙄  Any suggestions?

*Edit:  As I said before, our photos had the Facebook tag of our names and then the date.  Should I attach an explanation to each photograph again stating our names and the details of the day when that photograph was taken?

Called and spoke with a nice tier 2 rep today.  Said I was rfe'd 2/26 but, he didn't see a notice going out.  He put in a service request and changed the reason since we are still within normal processing times.  And boom just like that I was updated via email, text, online and the app that and rfe was sent out today.  I updated my timeline.  I can't think of what it can be since I'm pretty sure I covered all bases.  However, I digress and will wait and see the surprise.<_< Maybe it has to do with my last petition and my divorcing the (insert adjective here).  :P

Good news on the movement! Although straight up NOA2 would have been nice Im sure... I'm curious what your RFE if you don't mind would you share when you get it? Im sure it will be something easy

You know.. that is really obnoxious. Purely asinine on the part of USCIS. convoluting an already convoluted process. UGH. I'm sorry you got this RFE. I'm curious to know what you should do as well

Oh don't worry ! Just send what they want and you will be fine soon!

I am pretty sure they just send most RFE on random, and not always care what people really miss...

Most of requests are really ridiculous...

They requested us to send more evidence as well and also divorce certificate of my finance which we have sent there of course !

So keep head up and all will be OK soon!

@Naes @NICK & PAULA

Yep, it's what I suspected. They want you to send them again those bunch of evidences that you've initially sent because uhm....ahhhh... well, they've lost 'em! Geeezzz! Sometimes all you can do is laugh because you're sure that your packet was thoroughly scrutinized by you before sending it and then here comes the RFE asking you to give them those docs again as if it was your fault. Woow!

Anyway my darling, I know for sure that you're ready for this. Complete those papers and send them ASAP. If you have copies of your first packet then send those again and add a little more if you still have some.  For sure you'll get approved after they'll received your packet. I am cheering for your approval in advanced. Woooohooooo! :wub:

:rofl: Haha, exactly!  I couldn’t help but laugh at how ridiculous it all was.  My fiancé didn’t find it as funny though, for some reason.  But then again, I am easily amused so there’s that.  I might type up a statement detailing each visit with things we did and places we went and then attach corresponding photographs.    I’ll probably resend some of the other things as well, just in case.  Beyond that, I just don’t know.

Thanks @NICK & PAULA.  As I was telling @Naes, I really did just have a laugh about it all.  You’re right, that’s all you can do sometimes.  Although, USCIS really needs to work on their sense of humour.  Geez!

Luckily, I did make copies of everything so I will resubmit those and this time will include a statement detailing our visits with corresponding pictures.  Hopefully, that does it.  :)

Thanks.  It’s ok, though.  It’s a quick and simple fix I hope. :)

And asinine is not EXACTLY the word I’d use.  Add an “s” and take off the “inine” and we’re in business.  :lol:
