What did they do on August 31st with your NOA1 being late this month? I've seen this referenced a few times in this thread. I think the general consensus is that it's just some kind of automated generic notice and doesn't mean much at all as far as where USCIS is at in the process of your case. Some think it's from the new site when you have "case inactivity notifications" on but I have it enabled and have never received that email. Maybe they only send it after they do something after the NOA1.

We rang and changed our address. I know you can do it online but it was also a sneaky way to check on our case.

I know it means nothing and is just automated. It’s just exciting when you hear something!!!

Haha! I know I don't care. Once we get the approval (NOA 2). Scrap the old vs new site. One less thing to worry about. On to the next obstacle, no turning back to the one you just passed. 🤷‍♂️

Congrats!

Man, what are USCIS hours?! I figured they’d only work 8-5 Pacific time. Or is it possible these emails/approvals are scheduled after hours or something?

I've read some mixed things about unchecked boxes on various reports. One guy said they got their NOA1 in July 2017 and had to get their congresswoman and sue to get USCIS to finally give them a decision. Two weeks later, he got an RFE for not checking some box. Stupid. My guess is USCIS was just looking for anything at that point. But a couple other people had unchecked or unfilled boxes too that didn't have such dramatic cases. They were mostly "I didn't think I had to fill this in because I checked NO to the question above." I left a bunch of lines blank to questions under "if you answered yes to...then..." instead of putting NA or something. I hope they don't give me a hard time on that. If they do, I'll be quite aggravated as I don't remember reading that as a suggestion/requirement anywhere in all the guides I read. 🙄I guess time will tell!

Yes, we are hoping they didn’t just come up with this unchecked box thing after waiting 441 days for a response...and of course the timing is interesting since we had filed a lawsuit 6 weeks before 🤔 I send the RFE back so more waiting and we’ll hopefully be approved finally

Wahhh... they should pay you back and approve right away upon receiving your rfe response. They owe you a lot man...

Hello March filers, I'm a February filer here but I wanted to jump on and share this with you. A crazy thing happened to me this morning - I woke up to an email & text that action had been taken on my case and to check the website. Except...I received my NOA2 almost a month ago and it was updated on the new website only at that time. So for curiosity's sake, I logged into the old website & found that it had been updated as well with my NOA2 approval. So now both the old & the new websites are updated with my approval. Nothing else has changed. So it may be time to start the scans again!!!

Same here.   NOA2 8/10 and old site updated 9/13.  Our approved petition is already at the US consulate in Auckland, and my fiance's interview is in less than two weeks!

Hello guys! Please advise:)

My fiancé called the USCIS  today. They said that did background check and everything is in the process. How long do you think this process can take ?

Noa1 old site: 28 of February

        new site:  3 of March

Not sure.. Normal estimated processing time is 5-7 months for approval. There are still cases from Jan that did not get approved yet... Sit tight....

Advice: KEEP BUSY!!
