How weird, had already received a request for evidence and submitted. But anyways, got the expedite approved on the same day (5/6). So now just hoping everything goes through and the card gets produced soon!

WOAH!! Our Case Status just updated to "Card in Production"!!! We didn't receive any other updates since they sent the e-mail requesting evidence. We faxed on 6/27, and got the update today (14 days)!

Hi! Is it possible to expedite EAD if applying for AOS from K1 visa?

 

Do they just require a job offer as evidence?

 

When they expedite EAD and you have requested a SSN with your EAD application, do they assign the SSN as well?

K1 will get their SSN on entry.

I had to wait, it was beyond my control but it didn't bother me because I was already able to secure the job with me EAD lol. Still glad I got it though.

Quick question guys. I don't remember if I answered "yes" to the question on the I-765 form that asks if we want the SSA to issue a social security card. Is it possible to inquire that information to USCIS by phone? Unfortunately, I don't have access to my entire application at the moment and I don't know if the SSA will automatically issue me with a card soon.

2019-12-04:       I-765 / I-485 sent

2019-12-10:       NOA received

2020-01-03:       Biometrics appointment 

2020-04-30:       EAD approved

2020-05-07:       EAD received

2020-05-11:       RFIE letter received

2020-06-08:       RFIE response sent 

2020-07-20:       Status updated to "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview"

I entered on my K1 VISA on March 18th and could not get SSN as the social security offices are all closed due to COVID. I was able to request a SSN as part of my I765 application.

 

What I was wondering is if I request for I765 to be expedited would that also expedite the request for a SSN?

I do not have an answer for you, but I am also wondering how long it takes for SSA to issue SSN if it was requested through I765.

It took 4 days since I received my EAD.

AOS from B2 (married to USC)

• January 8, 2020: Sent AOS Application Packet Through USPS (Concurrent Filing I130, I130A, I485, I693, I765, I864).
• January 11, 2020: Package delivered at Chicago Lockbox.
• January 13, 2020: USCIS received the package (priority date).
• January 21, 2020: Check Cashed.
• January 25, 2020: I-797c hard copies received (Including Biometrics Appointment).
• February 07, 2020: Biometrics Appointment.
• February 11, 2020: The case was updated to show fingerprints were taken (I-485, I-765).

• March 12, 2020: Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview (I-485). 

• April 15, 2020: Request to have an expedited process (I-765).

• April 15, 2020: Evidence documents for the expedited process were sent (I-765).

Awesome. My husband already

 has someone who can offer him a job/job offer letter but we haven't done biometrics yet so waiting on that. I feel the Florida offices have been doing a decent job. I am in Jacksonville.
