Called USCIS to see if my case was sent to NVC since NVC is closed today and was just told it takes a minimum of 30 days. Sometimes more but to wait until it's been 30 days and to call back. Ugh.

Yeah, because of the snow storm again. Hopefully they'll be open tomorrow.

New to the group since I finally get approved on March 1 and well there's no one in the March version of this thread yet.

I'm not very patient, so I've already called NVC twice (they say they don't have my petition yet). BUT I called USCIS and talked to a tier 2 this morning and he said that my petition has been "in NVC staging since 3/2". He explained that that means that USCIS is trying to send it to NVC, but NVC is actually the one that waits to accept petitions in batches.

Does this mean I'm part of the electronic (1 - 5) group? Curious if anyone else has heard anything similar.

Hi guys,

We got our NCV number on the 26th of Feb via email.  A couple of days later the CEAC tracker said "READY.  It's my understanding that I just have to wait for the consulate to email me the packet 3 instructions before I can proceed.  Johannesburg Consulate.

Info input regarding this.....?

Hi guys! Got approved on the 14th of Feb. My fiance called NVC last March 5, they gave us our case number (nvc) and when I checked it's still at NVC, then the next day when I woke up, it says READY already! ❤️❤️❤️

Now here's my question (especially to Philippine beneficiaries) can i pay for my Visa fee already? And schedule my interview? And take the medical exam? My fiance haven't received the NVC letter yet, none thru mail or even email. But there are a few beneficiaries here who said I could take the medical exam with only the screenshot of my READY status from NVC? Is that true? Thanks in advance!

Hoping we can all close the distance smoothly ❤️❤️ Love lots!
