Hi, my case says ready. K1 visa was approved january 19th. What do I do next? My embassy is going to be cuidad juarez

You can start calling NVC to ask if they have your case number already. If you don't want to call, you can also wait till you receive the email from NVC that they have forwarded your case to the embassy.

Instructions on how to contact NVC here: https://sites.google.com/view/post-noa2/home

We both received an email when our case got to the embassy :) We didn't receive any emails from NVC until then. I think some other people did though.

After 34 days since NOA2 we are assigned a case number :jest: happy dance! The tracker says still at NVC... How much does it now usually take to be sent to the embassy? And, do we have to do anything at this state? Because it's says something about following six steps

You pay nothing, and the "six steps" do not apply to K-1 visas.

Hi all :-) We received our NOA2 last week (the date was January 27th, though), and we are working with an attorney so we may not get our case number until they get written notification (they have been great to work with, and I don't have any complaints). I'm getting ready to deliver our first baby in the next week or so, and even though I'd like to call every day I don't think I'll be able to since I'll be on my own until my fiance gets his visa. Just wondering if any of you who called to get your case number have received written confirmation yet? And about how long it took to get that, if so?

I'm so pleased to see things moving faster now! Thanks to anyone who has an answer to this :-)

We received our NOA2 about last week too, but it was dated 1/26. I just called and they said I had to wait up to 6 weeks for them to receive my case blah blah blah. I don't even think she checked because as soon as I told her the notice date of 1/26 she said that 🙄. I'm in the waiting game with you. I'll just call back tomorrow or later on! We should receive a case number fairly soon. But OMG I just had our first and only child in November and I can totally relate not being able to call everyday. He hasn't met him yet because I didn't want to fly with him being so young and those nasty contagious bugs! But good thing in your situation your baby would only be a few weeks old when your hubby gets here fingers crossed! Yippy! And congratulations mama! Almost done with this loooooong and anxiety giving process!

Hi! I've only received en email with an attachment that states the NVC received our case and that it would be forwarding it to the US Embassy in Dominican Republic. It was addressed to my fiance, showed our case number, USCIS number, my information and the embassy location.

and a big congrats on the baby! wishing you a peacful and joyful labor with a healthy baby to follow :-)

I finally found someone that will be dealing with the embassy in DR! Have you all completed the DS-160 yet? Or where are you in this process? Thanks!

Hi, I'm coming from May 2017 K1 group.  Got my approval Jan 26th.  Now I'm waiting for NVC I guess.

Congrats! Our approval was on Jan 26th as well. I called the NVC today and the representative gave me the ole wait up to 6 weeks line. There are people that have recieved their case number in 10 days as of lately, so maybe we'll here something soon!
