Background check in USA or  Where ur fiancé live out of USA ? Plz tell us

To be honest I do not know. I know in my case I am naturalized citizen I was not born in USA so the chances are they may check my background (I have heard it can be the case ). However I do not know if they have the power and resources to check the person that is coming from outside of USA. I believe for the fiance outside of USA the embassy will check their background. Probably it will be included in the package your fiance will present at the embassy with, but I am not sure don't quote me on this. Sorry I wasn't so much help.

You can help fill it out. I recommend the one that has a better handle on English reads the instructions and the forms and fill it in. The other should help with the information and the correct spelling, dates etc. Then the beneficiary should be the one that electronically signs it in his/her country. That's the instructions from USCIS. Both of you should be comfortable that it is true to the best of your knowledge.

Wife? Are you not filing a K-1 visa?

I am sorry for the misleading. We sometime call each other like "wife" or "husband" since we know we will get there soon. No she is not my wife yet and I am filing K-1 Visa in the U.S. I am the one who is going to a business trip in Italy in a week. Should that be matter?

Hello all,

I am trying to keep myself busy by filling out the DS-160 Form.

I have 2 questions regarding it. How should be answered?

1.Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services?

I answered YES giving the explanation that my current case details – case id, recd date, etc.

2. Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance

with U.S. law?

I answered NO giving the explanation that MEDICAL EXAM WILL TAKE PLACE BEFORE VISA INTERVIEW IN MUMBAI, APPOINTMENT CAN BE BOOKED ONLY AFTER SUBMITTING DS-160 FORM.

Are these 2 answers correct?

Thanks for helping out.

1: I answered Yes too and entered the information of our I129F

2: I answered Yes as I have vaccination records from the Netherlands that show I was vaccinated ufficiently according to US law.

You have had the vaccinations that are required by US law and you have records of them. I'd say Yes.

If you're wrong they wont deny you the visa, you'll just get poked a lot by the doc. :jest:

Okay, thanks. Out of 10 vaccinations needed I have records for 7, so I think I will answer yes.

Your trip will have no influence on your K-1 Application. So go and have a good trip.

On the  "wife" or "husband" item, you should be careful. If you were to call each other that in front of the CO at the interview you could find yourself with a denial. The CO's are highly trained to uncover "hidden gems" that they will question until they are satisfied with an interpretation. We have seen cases that have ended in a denial even though the applicant sees it differently then the CO. We have see cases where celebration party for the engagement ended in a denial because the CO saw it as a wedding celebration. So what may seem innocent to you, may not sit well with the CO. Just a word of advice.
