So I live in Alberta Canada, and he lives in Minnesota USA. I was wondering I am planning to petition to go there so where do I file? Montreal or Texas? I can't get a straight answer when I google and am I supposed to mail the i-129?

You don't file anything. The I-129F must be filed by the US citizen and sent to the Texas lock box, as per the instructions that accompany the form. I suggest he takes the time to read the instructions thoroughly. Your obvious lack of knowledge of the process suggests you haven't read the instructions at all and you may be missing something very important.

I am am assuming that he is a US citizen. You say he "lives in Minnesota" but that doesn't mean he's necessarily a USC. If he's not, there's no basis for a fiancée visa for you.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

Well you definitely need to make use of the guides here. The important thing to remember is the I129f is basically your USC fiance saying to the US government that they should let you apply for a visa. ince they say ok your USC fiance is eligible to petition a fiance you may apply for the visa. This part is basically all on him, though that doesn't mean you can't help.

Also you will apply for your visa at your local embassy or consulate which I assume would be Montreal, but that's going to be a good 6 months from now. Being that you are Canadian you should be fine with the bare minimum of evidence as there aren't mean Canadians trying to scam their way into the US.

I have a hard time understanding words, I speak english perfectly fine but its really hard for me to absorb text reading so i looked at a step by step instructional by someone to see the simplified instructions- and I guess I just missed that part. I don't mean to seem rude I just didn't want to bring up my troubles.

Everybody will be writing here the same things in that guides so my suggestion would be sitting with your fiancé and read it together then make a list for questions you still have.

1) first read the requirements of a k1 visa:

such as your fiancé must be a us citizen etc

2)then you'll see it is a petition first that your fiancé will submit. The us citizen should file this petition with evidences as mentioned in the guide to the address mentioned in the uscis web site.

3) then you will wait to get that petition approved, so that you can apply for the visa.

also find a flow chart for k1 on the internet so you can compartmentalize everything.

That will make things easier because it can be complex at first.

I have a question. I'm using the guides on here, and on the template Letter of Intent (http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Fiance_Letter_of_Intent.doc) It says I should put the filing address. This is the Texas address you listed right? Not my closest immigration office which would be in Los Angeles. Thank you:)

The Texas lockbox where you mail the form is fine.

It will be sent to California (CSC) anyway. Petitions that don't need an interview (like an I-129F) will be handled by a Service Center, and the only Service Center handling new I-129Fs for a K-1 is CSC (barring transfers, which are uncommon).
