Hello everyone!

I'm preparing everything I need for my AOS (and hope to apply by the end of the month), and I'm really confused with Form I-693. The instructions to I-485 say that it's not required but you may sbmit it if you wish. I started calling USCIS approved doctors in my area, and they all refuse to do the paperwork without a medical, which is about $200 - 300 per person, and there are 3 of us applying... I even called USCIS, and they confirmed that I don't need a new medical and they have no idea why doctors don't know about that. What did you do about your vaccination records?

If you've already completed your vaccination requirements befire entering the U.S.A. then you are not required to fill out the whole I-693 packet.

However, if you haven't completed all your required shots, as they can take a bit of time to get, then you do not jave to submit your I-693 packet with the I-485 packet. You have some time to submit it on your own time as long as it is on or before your initial interview for biometrics or just for the I-485 itself.

Just take a breather and do things one step at a time.

Well I have everything together now for my AOS package. My husband just has to write the cheque so we can send it off. Hopefully tomorrow or Friday. So I will probably be a December/January filer due to the holidays. LOL

Good luck. Be patient since everything with USCIS can take a really long time. If you allow me to, take some time and visit other forums to see what people are saying about the AOS process, delays, EAD/AP etc. This will give you a good idea of what to expect.

I like to think that the holidays will make everyone happier to work, therefore be more efficient and willing to approve our packages ;) but I am an optimist!!

I know!!

My husband is like.. I dont care how long it takes now.. you are here with me!!    and Im like.. well that is very sweet.. but I want to be out of this gray area called K1 status ASAP and be a normal person in the states .

It is without a doubt easier than being apart.. right now I'm just focusing on making our house a home (adding that extra women touch) and playing housewife all day.

Hi everyone!  We received our text messages saying our case(s) were received.  Our receipts all are MCS---- numbers.  Is that the same as our case number?  I can't track these numbers on the USCIS site so I'm not sure if that is the same as our case number.  Thanks for the intel!
