Welp, I just got my biometrics appointment notice in the mail today.

Scheduled for the 24th.. I will try to do a walk-in Monday or Tuesday and see how that goes

Question for those who have done successful biometric walk-ins:

When you walk in, do you do it at a similar time that your scheduled interview? I ask because I was checking the make an info-pass appointment to see how busy is the Buffalo office these next couple of days and noticed that info-pass appointments are only allowed until 2:45 and my scheduled appointment is at 3:00

Thats good to hear, hoping they speed up the EAD and AP, but doesn't seem likely!!!

Expect this to be transferred to Raleigh at some point.  Our game plan is to try for a walk-in visit for bio as soon as the appointment letter arrives, if successful request an expedite for EAD with a job offer letter (financial hardship).  Good luck everyone!

Quick update, we received an RFE (dated 1/8/18 for I-485) requesting her Brazilian birth certificate.  Since Brazil kept her birth certificate, replaced it with a marriage cert, and eventually divorce certificate we hoped it would suffice since it includes much of the same information as the birth cert.  I'm planning to contact USCIS customer service Tuesday to explain the situation since Saturday hours apparently stopped?  Worst case we're hopeful family in Brazil can obtain the birth certificate and email it to us ASAP.  Hope you're all well and best wishes in 2018! 

 

It seems the EAD timeline is progressing into mid November for some, fingers crossed we're up to bat soon...

Monday is a federal holiday, Martin Luther King Day.

Oh that was fast, my priority date is 12/27, didn’t get my hard copy NOAs till yesterday. I’ve not checked the mail today for biometrics appointment letter. If the mail didn’t arrive today then it will be Tuesday since Monday is federal holiday.

Two days ago, I received RFE (That I-130A was missing from my application). But haven't  heard anyone that have included this in their application. Is this something I need to worry about?
